It does not work at all !!! All my family and friends spent plenty of time trying to figure out what is wrong and how to make it work. Nobody succeeded. We are cheated !!

This is great in theory, but unless you have hands from hades then you won't transfer enough heat to keep the blade warm enough to have a big enough effect. You need to warm it up with hit water before use, which kind of defeats the purpose.

The thickness of the blade maintains warmth longer than a normal butter knife, but once it gets cold after a few spreads, it will, work the other way- making it hard to warm up as it loses heat to the butter.

Stick with your normal knife, this isn't worth the extravagant outlay.

the idea is great, and if it was an electric knife that may have contained a battery and was heated and not using the heat of your own hand to warm it, it would work. And if you are using a cold stick of butter, the knife doesn't have any edges so it slides off the cold butter and it does not really get that hot.

For the longest time, I joked with my kids that I was going to become an inventor & create a "heated butter knife". When I notice this product was already developed, I had to buy it just for the gag. Needless to say my kids were not impressed since it doesn't work. They told me not to quit my day job (lol).

This is a junky gimmick. It doesn't do much more than a standard metal butter knife in our very scientific tests.
