A useful wand with some unique challenges.

Making giant bubbles is difficult. You need the right wand, the right soap containing the right thickeners to hold a giant bubble together, and you need your audience to stand back far enough so that they do not pop bubbles still attached to the wand. It also helps to have the right physical height so that the bubble you're blowing doesn't touch the ground and pop. The learning curve is high, and your first batch will be frustrating. That said, subsequent batches will be fun and amaze onlookers. Especially if it is a windy but not blustery day that is overcast and slightly humid. See, I told you it is difficult! That said, this wand adds some challenges. The blue caps slide off, releasing the red wick from the yellow handle, and allowing the yellow hex weight to tumble into the bucket of soap. When you put it all back together, if the wick is twisted, it will be more difficult than if the wick is straightened. We find that we can make spectacular bubbles for about 2 hours without the wand falling apart. So, gauge how much you would like to spend, and your tolerance for emotional anguish, before deciding to make giant bubbles OR purchasing a wand that falls apart. The sturdiest model has two big dowels and a round wick between them, with a heavy weight. But it will cost you more than $10, unless you go to a hardware store and make one yourself, which will cost you a few hours of time. Giant bubbles ARE fun once you get the hang of it, and this wand is serviceable, compact, and inexpensive.

poor quality and does not work with regular strength bubbles. We Haven't tried the recipe on the box, but it might work better. Blue end caps come off the yellow stick easily and then the rope portion of the bubble wand comes out and the whole contraption falls apart. It is a bit difficult to reassemble. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the price is pretty low, though it should be even lower for this quality.

Lots Of Bubble Fun

This was a super fun item that we got our son as one of his birthday presents. Really made some huge bubbles . We pretty much had the attention of every child in the neighborhood enjoying these with us . I gave it 4 stars only because there is just not enough solution for the cost of it . If I could figure out a way to make my own , it would really be even way more with the purchase of this . All in all , it's a really nice and fun product . It was well payback end and delivery was quick as promised . I would buy again for a gift easily .

When it works, this is great. I used two of these for a 2yr old birthday and an 8,000 person free non-profit family event. The Wands work great with soft and responsible hands. But they will come apart if someone is aggressive (i.e. little kids). The go back together easily, as long as you paid attention to how it was assembled in the first place.

I had another one of these and it works great. Have had over 3 years now. This one broke day one on July 4th. Very cheap plastic. Thank you Ja-Ru for going cheap on the plastic and ruining my kids 4th of July.

Grand kids wore these out. Makes cool bubbles. The recipe for bubble goop on the package is actually a very good mixture.
