Bought as gift for friend's birthday. Etched the glass; the mug wall so smooth, it was perfect for etching.

Have not tried the bottle opener part of this mug though.

It was so much more than I thought it was, I figured it would be made with some thin crappy glass..i stand corrected, that mug is solid, and I love being the guy at the party people go to for opening the bottles, hopefully they'll buy one too.

Bought it for my bf for Valentine's day, although it says 24oz but it doesn't hold that, holds about 22oz so not greatly happy with purchase.
5/7/17 Update:

I had purchased two of these, the first one lasted a little over a year and the other just broke yesterday. The bottom fell out, literally, did not bang it on anything, did not dishwash, just fell off. First one, I was hand washing the mug and I pushed the sponge in to clean the bottom and the bottom fell off. I ended up cutting my hand in three places because of the spikes. The other mug was full of beer, my bf picked it up and the bottom fell off, 24oz of beer everywhere....smh...purchase at your own risk.
