Got this for my 2 little girls for Christmas and am very disappointed - very cheap quality and poorly made. Expected a lot more for $260. Steering wheel hardly turns the wheels, and we couldn't even properly screw in the seat because the screws stripped and the plastic piece they were supposed to go into was destroyed in the process. Now I've been waiting on hold with customer service for the company for the last 15 minutes to see about returning this piece of junk. Extremely frustrating. Don't buy this product - save your time and money!

Pacific Cycle stands by their products! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! My son already had a Kid Trax police car and because he could beat my daughter in any race against her Power Wheels we needed to get one of these fast cars for her too. Unfortunately when we built hers there was an issue and the car wouldn't go into fast speed. I contacted Pacific Cycle and the customer service was great, they immediately figured out the issue and said they would ship out the replacement part and it would arrive in 5-7 days. My daughter was so excited, I asked if there was any way to ship it sooner. They agreed to overnight the replacement part. Unfortunately, UPS didn't keep there end of the bargain and because they forgot to load it on the UPS truck they decided to say "customer unavailable". Even though my UPS driver was there earlier and delivered a package. But that is another story.

Now for the car, it is beautiful! The car has a real FM radio, which, I must say, my little one really loves. She is also able to connect her iTouch to the car and play her own music. So cool! The car makes real Viper noises when you accelerate. Most importantly and unlike Power Wheels, these Kid Trax cars ROCK IT on grass, up and down small hills without any issue. They are also faster, better tire traction and overall just a better driving vehicle! Lastly, when charging the light shows red when charging and green when done, finally! I'll never know why Power Wheels couldn't do that.

This car is kick ass...my 2 kids is happy with it..the only thing i wish they did smarter was add safety locks to keep the doors shut and the radio should be easier to come off to change the battery...anyways i have came up with a great solution i jus use double side 3m tape to hold the radio in place and when time to come up its super easy.....the car is fast and does take a good amount of weight and doesn't slow down 1 bit...i test it myself and im 185lbs....overall this car is a good buy and your kid would be super happy....

I'll write a more in depth review after a few months owning it, but for now, the highlights:

The car:

Decent quality. The white stripes weren't perfect when it arrived. Assembly does take some work.

The rubber on the tires is a massive help, because the car is fast! I have to jog to keep up.

My daughter absolutely loves it and it has become a daily activity of going for a drive after school. Can't wait till it's summer and she can drive it to the pool.

Despite crappy hardware provided (the smallish nut and bolt that holds the steering wheel to the shaft pulled right through the plastic, necessitating a trip to the hardware store to get something that can handle the power a man puts behind a tool instead of the power a mouse puts out on a wheel.

But the unit is otherwise solid- I'm amazed at how far it goes on a charge- be sure to make sure it's plugged it in though or you'll feel stupid like me pushing it the rest of the way home uphill (both ways) for 3/4 of a mile while your four year old asks random questions that make you wish your head would just hurry up and explode.

Great toy, all kidding aside and all user error with the plug aside as well. But I'm not putting aside that sissy hardware they use for the steering wheel- that meant I had to listen to whining until the next day when Home Depot was open.

Only the top light bar has lights. The car is of ok quality. For the price i expected better. manufacture Packaging was horrible so inspect it really good when you get it for cracks. there is nothing to protect the car inside of the manufactures box and the item is cramed in there. ties have a little piece of rubber but it should of been wider if its ment to provide any kind of traction. called customer service for kidtex for damage to the car and they were no help so we just returned it to amazon and ordered another one from another store. they raised the price in the time from when we originaly purchased the car and had to return it for being damaged. Seriously you want us to pay more for the same item even thow its not our fault we got a damaged one? no way. If there wasn't such a limited number of cars with two seats we would of gotten a different car. But we need a two seater.

My daughter loves this car. It's become a huge part of her life. We got it when she was 2 and a half, and a year later, she still loves to drive it.

It's fast, if you want it to be fast. Going down hills, it really hauls ass! I have to jog to keep up with her. The reverse gear has helped her learn how to do 3-point turns.

Most important things from a practical standpoint are the long battery life, solid build and good handling. The rubber strip on the tires really does help with both handling and keeping it quiet. We've never had the battery die on us... but have never really used it for more than an hour. It's important to avoid keeping it plugged in longer than needed, as that drains the battery.

The radio, horn and headlights are fun toys for her to play with. She enjoys opening and closing the doors and pretending she's going to work, etc. She also loves to give rides to her friends... something you can't do in the one-seater cars. Still goes fast with two kids on board as well.

This car is better than any other we've seen. And it does look great.

Super high speed and has stick controls like a zero turn mower. You have to push the petal and drive at the same time. It is super cute and will work great when my child is older. He's 3 and it's still too much for him to operate

After some initial frustration as they sent me an axle rod that did not fit, they fixed it by sending me a different part which worked. Great customer service. (My son's gift was late for Christmas because of this - so make sure to build it a few weeks before to ensure all the parts fit.) My son is a big 6 year old and he can sit very comfortably in the car. The doors stick a little, but everything else works great. The megaphone is a great touch as well as the working sirens.
