This is an ok product. One thing I do not like about it is the container; if the bag breaks open, and the contents are scattered, it's basically useless. Also, it is very much NOT water proof. I tried to soak in water and light, and it didn't light at all. I know this is not practical, but when I'm looking for a fire starter to stake my life on, and it does get wet, this product would let me down. And, having your fire starter get completely soaked is a very real possibility in a submersion situation or extreme conditions. But, there are certain circumstances where I think this product is very useful.

Unsafe & Eco Unfriendly

This stuff is dangerous and anything but "eco-friendly" as the name implies. The positive reviews you're seeing on InstaFire products are made by people affiliated with the company, not unbiased customers who are providing honest feedback. The chemicals used to make this stuff are lethal! Ask my dead cat. Do not breath fumes and please, for the love of God, keep away from children and pets.

These reviews must have been written by the manufacturer. Used a full package and would have been better off rubbing two wet sticks together. Better to throw a couple of dollar bills in your fireplace and lite them with a match
