Bracelets like this are not so much a repellant as they are a scent mask. It keeps mosquitos from swarming to your location by messing with the scent receptors used to detect your breath and skin secretions. It will not stop a mosquito that randomly lands on you from biting you. This should be used in conjunction with DEET or Picaridin on the skin and Permethrin treated clothing and gear. Warning: the smell is EXTREMELY strong right after opening. Do not wear this in enclosed spaces during the first 2 days, because it will be overpowering. I wanted to cry while driving. After that it tapers off. You can put it in double ziploc bags to keep it from degrading between uses and to mask the smell.

I really liked the wrist band, however I chose to wear it like an ankle bracelet. I went to an outdoor cookout and was outside the whole time until I got ready to leave. Woke up the next morning and not a mosquito bite in sight! I would recommend this product.

I brought 2 wristbands - one for myself and one for my wife. Fortunately, I find it very effective as I did not get any bites but my wife

did get mosquito bites on her leg but not on her arm so I think I will have to purchase another one for her legs. I strongly recommend

use both the spray and the bracelet.

These bracelets work great to fend off mosquitos. My husband was a skeptic but we went camping and my children wore their bracelets the entire time, no need to spray them with harsh chemicals. They both came home without any mosquito bites at all and there were tons!

It doesn't help with the mosquitoes. It disorients them for a second but they still land and bite.
