Highly recommended!! Perfect for all types!

This is a GREAT hammock for anyone looking to get out and relax. It don't matter if you are a beginner or some one like me who lives outdoors, this hammock will fit your needs. It's super easy to hang, very easy to use stuff back into the pouch and very comfortable. I have to admit, I was a little worried about my purchase in the beginning considering I have always used those big name brands like ENO and northface. But this hammock is just as good if not BETTER then those for a fraction of the price. Me and my wife each bought one and took it camping all weekend long. While everyone was busy setting up tents and trying to find a level ground to pitch a tent me and my wife had our hammocks up and was enjoying the sunset with our poles in the water. We slept very cozy in our hammocks, the net kept all the bugs out and during the day or evening we flipped the hammock over and used them as a VERY comfortable swing chair. My cousin and his wife are now getting some and I think if your like me and love the outdoors and looking for something that will last and be fun. Then this is the hammock your looking for. I am sure I sound just like a salesman telling you that you just have to have this now ha ha... I research everything I buy online and Compare it to everything I can think of. I look for reviews, video reviews, returns and I look into the company the is selling the products I am looking for. I research everything from a simple pair of shoes to rechargeable batteries to cell phone cases and yes even hammocks. I spent days researching and comparing all different kind of hammocks till I figured out the one I want. And I choose this one. The shipping was fast, the seller is very nice and great customer service and the hammock is what it says it is, AWESOME!!

Bottom line is that if you research like me and like to hear good reviews and recommendations then this is what you are looking for. It holds strong, lightweight and easy to pack and carry, sets up in minutes and very cozy to sleep in. The ONLY downfall to this hammock ks you need to purchase tree straps separately, but Who Cares. For this price and this awesome of a hammock buy two sets of straps!! Now get out and enjoy the outdoors with your Krazy outdoors hammock!!

Really happy with this purchase

I just took my hammock out for this first time on an overnight backpacking trip through the Cascades in Oregon. I really enjoyed having this hammock with me. It is compact, light, and very easy to set up. I am 6'4" and 230 lbs and it had no problem keeping me off the ground. The mosquito netting is well constructed and great for the starry night. We had a lot of Flys on this trip and they had no chance of getting through.

A light-weight way to get a good night's sleep
by A Reader (4 out of 5 stars)
August 11, 2016

I have begun to do some touring on my bike since retiring. I wanted to get camping gear for that, and gravitated to hammocks for their small size and light weight. After doing some research, I ended up choosing this hammock, Night Guardian Hammock Rain Fly for a tarp, and Hammock Tree Straps from OxStraps for the straps. The whole package is small and light weight, so it met my needs on that score. I chose the dark colors because I may want to stealth camp when I'm out in the middle of nowhere, and many of the hammocks are so brightly-colored that "stealth" is just not an option. The hammock stuffs into its own stuff sack which is attached to the side of the hammock and serves as a handy place to leave your glasses and a flashlight when you are sleeping.

This is my first experience with using a hammock for camping. For the most part, it has been a positive one. But it involved a bit of a learning curve. The things that I was worried about were not issues at all -- I am six feet tall and weight 220 pounds. The hammock is long enough to accommodate me and the parachute material is able to support me effortlessly. Setting the hammock and tarp up are easy and quick. The materials and construction of the hammock are robust -- I noticed some review comments about problems with the mosquito netting separating from the hammock. I have not seen any evidence of that weakness in my hammock. And the mosquito netting does its job well.

What did surprise me was how cold the hammock can get at night. The parachute material does not insulate at all, and being up off the ground actually makes it cooler than being on the ground. I only camp in the hot summer, but I have gotten cool enough on my back and shoulders to be awakened in the middle of the night from the cold. There are some hammocks of this sort that have a liner available as an option to help insulate you . If I were not so concerned about the weight and bulk of the equipment, I would seriously consider looking for a hammock that offered a lining as an option. If you don't do that, you should give thought to how you will keep warm at night (a sweatshirt in the dog days of summer will do nicely.)

The second thing I was unprepared for was that my legs want to bend backwards while sleeping in the hammock. The first night, I got no sleep at all because of this. But I purchased an inexpensive inflatable pillow (

Inflatable Camping Pillow (PL-1) Green
) that I placed under my knees at night. After that, I slept like a baby. And the uninflated pillow takes up very little room in my pack.

Finally, I found it hard to get into my sleeping bag with a hammock. I have evolved a simple solution to this: I get in my sleeping bag before I sit down on the hammock, then swing my legs onto the hammock and zip everything up. Works like a charm.

Best balance of price, ease of use, comfort, features.

I have evaluated seven different camping hammock systems, looking for the one that has the best combination of easy hang, stability, comfort, easy storage, and COST. Everything from the top of the line Hennesy, a couple of Hammock Bliss models, ENO, a couple of the non-gathered end style, and a few of the "No-Name" inexpensive models.

This hammock, by Krazy Outdoors, wins. I actually appreciate a few of the properties of this hammock more than some of the more expensive hammocks I've tested. It's kind of a cross between the Hammock Bliss, and the ENO Jungle Nest - although it is closer to the ENO.

If price was no option, the Hennessy Expedition Asymetric is the most well thought out package. ENO is a close second. But, price IS an important factor, since I'm looking for hammocks for a Boy Scout Troop, and Krazy Outdoors Wins.

Great netting that doesn't rip after excessive use
by collegestudent (5 out of 5 stars)

The quality of the hammock was reasonable however, the reason I gave it four stars rather than five is that the carabiners that were sent with the hammock were of low quality and did not open very far as well as having sharp edges that could rip through hanging strings. I replaced these with open gate carabiners that were easy to find for $5 each. I also replaced the cord that these had been attached to with some paracord from around the house.Other than that the hammock was great!. There is a stretch cord that comes with the hammock and works well for threading the bug net and holding it up without ever getting to tight and pulling at the seams. I slept in the hammock two nights in the forest and found no faults with the netting. There were two pockets on the netting made of netting that would work well to hold small objects but I would be worried about tears if I put anything rough or heavy in them. The pockets would hold a typical sized phone without a case. there is only one zipper that runs the whole length of one side of the hammock and is easy to open and close from the inside. When laying in the hammock there is plenty of space between where I was laying and the bug net so that I wasn't bit through the netting. I'm 5'6 and there was plenty of room to sleep comfortably.

Update: I have used the hammock for a two years now and have yet to find any quality flaws. (Brief story now) On my most recent trip the hammocks were stacked so it was difficult to get in but when I finally did, I ended up rolling onto the netting. I entirely expected the netting to rip or tear out the seams however NO HOLE WAS MADE! This is an EXCELLENT quality hammock considering quality and I upgrade from four to five stars.

Same quality as big name companies at a fraction of the price.

So far so good. I ordered two for an upcoming trip and have given them a few test runs. The material seems strong and durable. I've replaced the included S hooks with carabiners for peace of mind. The bug net seems strong enough for regular use and is hung with an included shock cord so it will stretch instead of tearing the netting. The zippers seem high quality and open/close easily. I'm 6' and I fit comfortably in this system and can even side sleep by off setting slightly diagonally in it. The bag is attached to the hammock itself and is easy to stuff the system back into. The whole system seems on par with other brands such as ENO. So far this seems like a no brainer purchase. I ordered the looped tree straps which are not included which work universally. The only thing I'm slightly skeptical about is using the hammock reversed with the bug net underneath. I will most likely order a separate hammock without bug netting when it's not required. I will update this post if anything changes but I was happy enough with the first hammock to order a second.

P.S....some other colors besides blue and green would be really nice but that of course depends on your manufacturing process I understand.

but I am initially very pleased with the quality and comfort

So far I've only used it in the backyard, but I am initially very pleased with the quality and comfort. I'm looking forward to the backcountry camping trips coming up. It's going to be so nice having the netting already attached. I purchased a tarp to go over it for the wet days and it works great with the hammock as well.

Great hammock for the price
by PhDinAK (5 out of 5 stars)

It's a great hammock for the price. We've used them both at home and camping. It's definitely better than sleeping on the ground, and even better than many beds!

You'll probably get cold hanging mid-air, even when it's not especially cold out, so you'll need some insulation underneath as well as on top of you. But a sleeping pad placed in the hammock always works its way out from under you - this happens with all hammocks, not just this one - so you will experience CBS ("Cold Butt Syndrome"). We suggest you invest in an under-quilt designed to hang directly underneath the hammock, or, if you don't need the mosquito netting for bugs, flip it underneath and slide your pad in between it and the hammock.

A smaller-than-normal pillow is also a good idea, since a large one also wiggles away from where you want it and ends up on your face. :)

The only negative comment we have is that the steel carabiners ("snap-links") are very heavy, so if you're using the hammock for hiking/camping, you might replace those with lighter aluminum carabiners.

Most amazing customer service!

I purchased this product for a bikepacking trip from DC to Pittsburgh.

THE BAD NEWS

On day one, the zipper pulled out due to a seam failure.

THE GOOD NEWS

Add soon as I returned home (two weeks later), I notified the company is the situation.

They sent me a new hammock immediately and without question. They even upgraded it to one with a tougher fabric - for no cost.

Wow, a manufacturer who actually is interested in their customers...as I said - amazing.

I look forward to trying the replacement hammock and even reviewing it.

Thank your again Krazy Outdoors.

Surpassed expectations. Inexpensive, lightweight and durable.

I bought this for a river trip, held my 250lb body comfortably each night (three so far). The thunderstorm was a little rough without a rain fly as the rain soaked screen canopy collapses with the weight (no fun to scramble around running a rope above the hammock and tying down a tarp down in blinding wind, rain, thunder and lightning)...but the hammock material dried very rapidly and i was rocked to sleep by the wind through the thunderstorm as my tripmates struggled with failed tents and wet nights on the ground...and i had no mosquitos, horseflies or bugs in my "tent" (except parts of skin exposed to screen can still get mosquito bites through tiny holes). Invest in a rain cover (or tarp and rope) and get good tree straps.
