great indoor spkr w/o bassby brambleberry (4 out of 5 stars)

it's an amazing indoor speaker, it does better at below full sound, in terms of getting all the notes clear, the highest level masks some secondary notes, it does play at full sounds very well, without leaving your ears ringing, that said, outdoors it's useless, first since it's dual sided, so you're at half power before anything, and it's not a very loud speaker to begin with. One major drawback for me is that it has no bass in it, I'm not talking about artificially boosted bass, say if you want the bass to vibrate through you, just regular low-to-med bass, it has none, If you want some bass go elsewhere. Other issue is that you cannot know at what volume level you're at. For someone who doesn't need bass and primarily needs for indoors, go for it, the sounds is incredible, and so clear..
Excellent for the buck

This is my wife prime account, but I don't think she would mind me writing this review. I love audio, and this portable bluetooth speaker has impressed me. I had the chance to compare it in Magnolia Store with a B&W T7 and promised the sale guy I will buy the T7 and return the BO to Amazon if it convinced me. The T7 was more real in the mids, but lack of bass turned my decision in favor of B&O, besides the B&O seemed more omni directional, while you have to be almost facing the T7 to appreciate the good B&W famous good quality.
In addition to the BO, of course the USB port to charge iphone, the leather strap, the drivers on both sides and promised battery charge made the rest easier to decide against the T7.
I can't believe such a tin device like this BO A2 can drive that decent amount of base. I love Led Zepp and have been enjoying John Paul Jones tones in Celebration day, Mobidick, or Lemon song, without compromising Jimmy's and Bonzo's sound.
So far the battery has lasted at least 10 hrs on, I would say, 60% of the volume. But am fine with that, this is even leaving the device on to auto shut and continue using it next day.
I read reviews this won't last more than an hour with max volume, BUT lets face it, who will use this device at full volume? I tried in my backyard, and if I go beyond 70% my neighbors would complaint, and won't let me chat with my friends. If I want to have music to dance, I can turn the volume up with charger plugged, or just use my wired speakers, come on. Amazon ease my decision with that amazing price 309 compared to 399 for colored ones (I don't mind the colors, I mind the audio quality).

I had hoped with all the bad reviews on battery life B&O would have fixed the issue. Alas they did not. I fully charged the unit when I received it but I only got 3 hours of play at medium volume. It seems B&O didn't mean 24 hours of battery life but 2-4 hours. A real shame because the sound was awesome, the design of the case is great and it is very portable. I've decided to just replace the battery on my 12 year old Bose Soundlink.
Sound quality wins, battery issue just not a problem for us...

I have had this speaker for a year. I am an audiophile with Linn home systems. Sound quality is the most important feature for me in product quality assessment. Simply, this speaker has the best sound quality currently available for a portable device. The frequency range is full and the response is a sharp/crisp as any system I have tried. Music genre type from rock, jazz, classical, EDM, hip-hop all sound as true as any portable system.
The battery life is an issue and we are getting 3-4 hours from a full charge. But I pack my plug with me at times and we just plug it in when we need to and can. The battery life issue has not really impacted our enjoyment of the A2. I held off originally on the purchase due to the battery reviews. In real usage, it simply has been a very small issue. Not enough to ding it from our experience.
Other goods: packs easily due to its size, maintains connections from reasonable distance, pairs easily and reliably, sturdy/well- made feel
Bads: only the battery life issue-wish it lasted longer
The B&W had better battery life but was less durable, and sound was not as good as the A2. Bose systems are ok with good bass punch, but a lot of dull and shallow information in all frequencies. Ear fatigue easily set in with the Bose. UE systems are decent, but not nearly as good sound quality as the A2.
Friends and family are impressed by the sound quality. Plugged in or by battery, the sound is tremendous.
Why is Amazon selling counterfeit products?

Definitely a fake. Sound quality is terrible, volume control doesn't work properly, Beoplay app cannot connect to the device, product feel and finish is very cheap and as un-B&O as you can imagine, from the power supply to the USB socket. Returning this piece of s*** immediately. I guess one should be very skeptical buying electronics from Amazon, as in just don't.
Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service! I bought this speaker as it has great sound and is portable at the same time. I had a long-term commitment for which I needed to be out of the country for 3 months and thought the speaker would be perfect for that trip. However, 15 days into the trip the speaker stopped working. Repeated emails to MusikTrek failed to elicit any response and they took absolutely no initiative in helping me solve my problem. Do not do any business with them!
Beautiful with 2 hours battery life instead of 24h

Returned this product after 3 weeks due to horrible battery life which lasts about 2 hours instead of 24h.
Pros:
- The design is indeed great. Good material and premium feeling.
- Sound is OK for it's price, but not the best in its price range.
Cons:
- Horrible battery life, B&O claims 24 hours battery life which is total lie. On full volume it doesn't even last an hour and on average volume around 2 hours to 3 hours.
- Bluthooth connectivity is not stable.

Bang & Olufsen advertises a 24 month warranty for this speaker. I contacted B&O PLAY Support because the speaker quit working after 18 months. B&O PLAY Support has informed me that the speaker I purchased from Amazon through Zeinner Store is a "fake product and not an official B&O Play product"
If you are looking for great quality sound, this is it!

B&O PLAY delivers some serious sound. It can rock indoors and gives enough sound outdoors without any distortion. The Bass on this beast is awesome for the given size. Clarity of music, and its front and back speakers deliver amazing depth to the overall experience.
I'm a huge fan of Bose and have all Bose systems at home, but when I heard the sound of B&O at a local store, it really killed Bose for the given price tag, unmatched sound quality guys!
Cons: Just that the battery life isn't that great. Will give you 2 hours of music playback on a single charge, not sure if you would listen to music all day, I'd just keep it plugged in then.

I' m not sure why some people said that the battery life is horrible, mine can actually last about 15 hours with a relatively high volume. The quality is good for most of the music, overall a pretty good product.
