Totally defective; wouldn't even charge the first time

Unit I received never charged, never turned on, and was for all intents and purposes a $15 hunk of plastic. I received the speaker in undamaged packaging, read the instructions, and proceeded to charge it for 4 hours or so like directed. I read reviews before buying it so I knew there was supposed to be a red light displayed while it was charging. No light ever came on to indicate it was charging, but I brushed it off and hoped for the best. Hours of charging later, I took it off the charger and tried to power it on to no avail. Since I'd read the instructions and reviews, I tried holding the power button for varying degrees of time (3, 4, 10 seconds). Nothing. As far as I know the unit never even had a battery inside it. Returned it the next day. Maybe my experience is isolated. Most of the reviews for this product are good. But this has been my experience with this product from this seller.

While it worked, it was great. It was placed in a location where it never even touched water in the bathroom and it was no longer functional after about a month. (I've had 2 of the same soundbots and both have done the exact same thing.) There is supposed to be a red light that comes on to indicate when it is charging and it should stay red the entire time it is plugged in to charge. After approximately a month, the red light would only come on for less than a second when plugged in to the charger and then it would go back off again. So it wouldn't charge.

THIS IS AWESOME. For the price you can't beat it! We have ours in our shower for music which works perfect. It's an added bonus that you can answer a phone call too- but I did have one mishap with that as it doesn't show you who is calling. *Cue me answering 'HEY BABE- are you on your way home?!' blindly in the shower one evening, only to hear an 85 year old, German voice saying: "Ello, ellllo? Vat is dat noise?". Turns out it was my client calling with questions regarding his tenant after hours which was DEFINITELY NOT my boyfriend calling on his way home. I then panicked and hung up pretending the call dropped which was made easy by the one-touch answer/end call button. Very easy to use. Easy to charge [obviously don't charge it in the shower- cuz water- duh]. Clear and simple to read buttons and loud sound for such a small bot. Worth every penny. 10/10 would recommend for someone looking for something simple and efficient to use as a Bluetooth speaker.

Bought this little beauty as a Christmas gift for my daughter who loves singing in the shower. It is turning out to be the best present I bought. The sound volume and quality are both better than I expected. And since the initial charge on Christmas day we haven't had to charge it. Both she and I use it daily while showering. I haven't used the call function yet because I don't normally talk on the phone while showering! I was pleased that you can adjust the volume on the speaker because some of the reviews I'd read before purchasing claimed that it didn't have volume control. It does. Also, the suction cup is very strong and I'm not concerned about it falling down at all.

Decent sound. Unuseable battery life.

Garbage battery. I bought both the v1 and v2 of this product and they both suffer from the same battery problem. I couldn't get more than a week (only using 7-10 minutes 5 days per week) before the v1 would start giving the low battery tone. The problem is there was no advanced warning - once it started the low battery beep you only had about 5 minutes left. Once the tone started it was so frequently it was basically unuseable until it was charged again. The v2 version never gave a battery low warning, it would just be dead the next time I would to go use it. Sound quality is decent but the battery kills the usefulness of this device. Amazon has their own Amazon Basics brand (little black box) that is phenomenal. It's rugged, water proof and I haven't had to charge it yet. I would definitely recommend the Amazon version than this.

So I actually planned on writing a good review today but then I took a shower and the thing turned into the devil. I never had issues with it until today. I only got it within the month. Today it randomly stopped playing music and started making this terrible high pitched sound. I tried to turn it off but none of the buttons work. I tried plugging it in and the red light came on but the sound didn't stop. I've buried it in some laundry to try and kill the battery otherwise I'm taking a hammer to it and going all Office Space on it. It needs a volume control on the unit so you don't have to get your phone wet while you're adjusting it. Not sure what caused it to malfunction like that. I've provided a video, maybe someone that has dealt with this knows how to make it stop. UPDATE: I reached out to the company and they sent me a new unit immediately. When it arrive It looked slightly different that the original so the ones Amazon have might be an older model. Since I've gotten the new one it's been working great.

This thing lasted two days of use (for about 15 minutes) before it completely died. I charged it for an entire day, went to turn it on and it couldn't even get through one song before dying again. I'm so irritated that I spent money on this because it died. I'm not sure if I got a dud, but this did not work. I even tried charging it for a few more hours both in the wall and via computer and nothing. It won't even turn on. Don't buy!

Absolutely love it, just wish it'd stay charged longer Edit: I brought this item down to 3 starts because after about a month it started to struggle holding a charge, then just stopped charging altogether. I was very upset that it wouldn't work without being plugged in because that defeats the entire point of said product.

I am actually quite impressed by this speaker. I've had a few cheap Bluetooth speakers, but none have sounded as good as this one does. I fully expected it to have a small, tinny sound. It surprised me when it didn't. Mind you, it doesn't have a big bassy sound either, but it is as good as a normal radio and much better than the speakers in most portable devices. I would recommend this.

This item does not work with ipod nano 7th generation. Doesn't state that it DOES NOT work with all iPods. My son paired it to his and the sound is great. He has the larger ipod touch.

Thought I was getting a quality product, but this fell short! It won't even connect to my phone for longer than a few minutes before shutting off, and that's on a full charge! Horrible product and would return but already threw away the packing. I guess I'm stuck with it....DO NOT BUY!

Very frustrated and disappointed . .. no water has been anywhere near it. It will play music for 2-3 minutes, then nothing. The suction doesn't work it has fallen off of every surface. I ignored the negative reviews when i purchased. There were way more positive reviews so i went with the positive, only to be terribly disappointed. Oh well..WE DO GET WHAT WE PAY FOR!

Many may disagree but I use it in the shower everyday and it works awesome. Many say it sounds tinny but all you need to do is blow out the back of the speaker. When water gets in it the sound changes to a very tinny tone. Take it off the wall, blow it out and bingo!!!

I bought this for my BF to use in the shower, he loves it. The sound quality is great and the volume is surprisingly loud. I could see this being good for on outside party or being good to use by the pool. The battery life is good too, he's had it for about 3 weeks now and hasnt had to charge it yet.

I've had this product for about a month maybe a little longer and it's amazing! I use it almost every morning it's loud and for the price a perfect product. It's sometimes hard to find someplace to stick but you can make it work and I always forget to charge it. But even to change it for a shower it takes a couple minutes and then once I get out I can start a full charge for it. I love it and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

MUst have one if you listen to music in the shower. The small space amplifies the sound so much, there's been times that it's been too loud. But that's definitely a good thing. You can control the next song and volume from the shower. The quality is great for a standard Bluetooth speaker, better than the cheap rectangle shaped Bluetooth speakers all over eBay and such.
