I have mixed opinions about this ring. I work In construction and bought this for safety reasons, primarily to keep my finger from being de-gloved. Qalo makes a great product the material is extremely durable. My only real complaint, is also my own doing. I wore my qalo ring every day, the same as I would my wedding ring. The problem is if any water, grit or both get between the ring and your skin it can cause some serious inflammation and rash. So as far as the material and quality I gave it a thumbs up, just don't wear it all the time and let your skin breath.

I really like this ring and I can wear it at work which my wife likes. I usually wear it all the time and only put my nice wedding band on when we are going out. Its nice to be able to do whatever you have to without removing your ring. I've pinched my skin between my ring and metal tools or heavy stuff many times but with this ring that has become a thing of the past. Its like you're not even wearing it! In regards to another reviewers comment about getting fuel on it and the smell lingering I can agree with that sentiment, there is however a solution. I got some jet fuel on my ring a while back and it smelled like fuel for a while. I tried many things, soaking in hot water with dawn dish soap, washing it with gojo and nothing worked. I was about to admit defeat and I thought, ill try soaking it in some essential oils there's nothing to lose. I had some eucalyptus oil laying around and I filled up a small container with enough to immerse the ring and left it overnight. In the morning it had swollen to about 2X its original size and I felt the pangs of defeat yet again but I thought id let it air out. After a couple days it had returned to normal size and smelled like vicks vaporub instead of JP-8.I have had no problems since then and the vicks smell has worn off also. Now when I handle fuel or chemicals I remove my ring before putting my gloves on and I consider the issue resolved and preventable. The 4 star rating is due to price. its a piece of silicone so i would call it overpriced but I've bought two so I'm obviously happy and content enough with the price to buy another..

My wife bought me an off brand silicone ring. I partake in a lot of activities and the idea of a de-gloving injury freaks me out. I also frequently need to take jewelry off for work to avoid injury. The risk of loosing my custom made wedding band was an issue as well.

The off brand ring started to stretch. This winter I found it would fall off when my hands were cold. I lost it one day and put my silver ring back on. I ordered the QALO that night.

I've had the QALO for a few months and wear it everyday rarely taking it off. I lift with it on, work with it on, bathe with it on. I can tell it's a higher quality construction and haven't experienced the stretching in the ring that I did with the off brand. I ordered the black colored ring and a lot of people think its a titanium ring when they see it. It has a clean look and is super comfortable.

If you work with your hands a lot, partake in outdoor recreation, lift weights I think the silicone ring is a good investment. Save yourself some time and money and buy the QALO first.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas because he uses his hands a lot for his job. It is better than expected and he absolutely loves it! It moves easily with his hands and does not get in the way at all! It has vibrant colors and even came with a nice pouch to put his nicer ring in while he is working or at the gym. It's been over a month now since I gave it to him, and it has not stretched out from being removed when he puts his nicer ring on, and the color is just as bright as the day I gave it to him. I bought a matching one for myself, and we are both in love with our QALO rings!

UPDATE!: This is now the second one I bought for my husband! He loved his first one so much, but lost it on a work trip. It was his own fault, the ring did not fall off or anything. He was so completely devastated when he lost it that I had to order him another one. He did comment that it fit tighter than the last one, or maybe the last one had stretched out a bit, but that he felt it was still very comfortable, with beautiful color to it, and he loves the little pouch it comes in. We are very, very pleased with our now second purchase! I still have my women's version and I love it as well! I don't even bother to swap out for my fancy wedding band any more, as this one is such a conversation starter and is just so much more functional!!!!

This actually replaces the first ring that we bought a month or two ago. That ring was a bit snug, so we purchased the next size up. These are unique "rubber" rings that are not only attractive, but they wear well and are a working mans (and womans) best friend. These are nice when you don't want to wear the gold bling while at work. They appear to be good quality. Like I said, we have only had these for a couple of months, so time will tell. My spouse and I both have matching rings. And, be prepared for questions from others, asking what the blue means! Hopefully your friends are all "blue friendly"!

Another thing, with Amazon prime, there was no shipping charge. If you order from the official Qalo site, you will pay the freight!

Great support, nice ring

It's nice looking and wears well. It is a rubber, so like a band-aid, it can trap moisture and cause a little whiteness on your finger that goes away in a few minutes after you take it off. I swap mine from hand to hand a few times per day to avoid this. It is a complaint I have heard; which I think is inappropriate. I do not thin kit's possible to make something this that does not do this.

They seemed to me to run a little small; however, customer support sent me out a larger one with out too much hassle. They will do this kind of thing once (whether you rip it or size issue).

It feels strong and a little flexible. I assume it will rip before your finger, should you get it caught on a raging bull or something.

I purchased this ring for myself, and ordered the men's version because my current wedding band is wide. I was concerned as my hands tend to swell when I walk or run, and working in Information Technology, I'm on a computer all day; by the end of the day jewelry on my hands/wrists drives me crazy. I was quite pleased I went with the men's ring, as it's not overwhelming on my finger. I've worn it for a few days, even slept with it on, and the fit is perfect - right to size, very comfortable. Even walking outside in the NJ humidity, with my hands swelling, the ring is comfortable. I chose the Thin Blue Line ring because my husband of 18 years is a police officer, as was my father; given the current climate, I felt the need to draw attention to all the roles our officers play in life; father, mother, sister, brother, son, daughter, husband, wife. Be safe.

Love the ring

Love the ring. It came packaged in a little black draw string bag. Quality was great, smooth and no mold lines. I purchased it because of a broken knuckle on my left ring finger where I had to cut my gold band off and then had a hump in the bone. Trying another metal ring that would go over the bone didn't work because the metal ring would just slip back off. I ordered my ring size and it seemed true to size. This one slipped right on and stayed in place. It was a little bit hard to get used to because of the silicone each time I reached into my pocket. The silicone would rub on my clothing and roll the ring because it kind of sticks like rubber for the first little bit. After wearing it for a week or so it wore in and didn't seem to stick as much. I couldn't even tell I was wearing it after the first week.

After wearing it for six months, I lost some weight and the ring slipped off my finger without me knowing (that is good and bad) but just goes to show that I couldn't feel it on my finger. I'll be purchasing another shortly.

Durable and comfortable ring

I absolutely love this product and would recommend to anyone in a law enforcement or first responders position. I have worn this ring everyday for over a year since I became pregnant with my daughter and my engagement ring wouldnt fit any longer. The size you order is true to your ring size and is very comfortable. I have yet to have it slip off my finger. It doesn't get irritating either when your hand is sweaty or wet. I get lots of compliments on it and recently recommended this redline for a friend. Her husband loves his as well. It has not faded or stretched in this time. It is still smooth and durable and doesn't have a scratch on it.

Sorry for the LONG review, but, here it is... First off, I have been married for 17 years. I have had numerous wedding bands (comfort fit, narrow, wide, gold, tungsten, etc), but, I have never worn any of them for more than a couple weeks as I have never found anything that didn't constantly bother me. My hands are typically slightly swollen in the morning, then they shrink as the day goes on, making virtually EVERY ring unbearable to wear. Now, my wife had finally accepted the fact that I was hers, no matter if I wore a ring or not, but, she still would make little comments now and then about it. Also, about 2 years ago my boss was putting the cover on his boat when he slipped off of the side step, hung his wedding ring on the boat, and all of the skin was ripped off of his ring finger! (I constantly mentioned this up to my wife whenever the ring "issue" was brought up by her). Anyway, fast forward to a couple months ago, I saw a similar ring to the Qalo advertised on Facebook and decided to clink the link and learn more about it. Anyway, this competitors ring was not offered in my size, but, I had now begun a search that would ultimately lead me to Amazon just to see what was out there. I found this Qalo ring (which was picked APART by the competitor I found on Facebook) and deicide for 20 bucks, why not? I ordered the ring with tons of skepticism and very low expectations. Anyway, my ring arrived and I put it on. I haven't taken it off since. My wife was extremely skeptical that this ring wearing "trend" of mine would last more than a few days. I can tell you, it is like not having a ring on, which is the best compliment I could give it. It is amazing! Does it have a lifetime warranty like the other brand I looked at? No. Does it need one? No. Its $20 people! For a ring that could save your finger if you work with your hands, and is EXTREMELY comfortable! Guess what, if and when it breaks, I WILL buy another one! I cant really see this ring NOT holding up though. It has already survived extensive spring yard work, being worn to work every day, multiple weekly workouts with free weights, etc, etc. The best part, for 20 bucks, I have made my wife smile. Guys, THAT is priceless. Kudos Qalo for making a product that makes SO much sense, keeps my finger safe and comfortable, AND makes the wife happy. Happy wife, happy life. Buy it!
