This lovely stylish flexible sofa tray is made out of natural carbonized bamboo strips sanded down to the fibers and given a coat of varnish to make the bamboo more durable, liquid and scratch resistant.. The bamboo strips are kept tight together by a textile netted backing which makes it splash-proof. It is 2-3mm thick so lightweight and easily rolled up if required. As well as plates and glasses it can also be used to rest your laptop to avoid overheating. They measure 30cm X 50cm (Around 12" X 20"). As it adapts to the shape of where it is placed, it is best suited to square sofa arms. The new brown style are out of stock, but you can select the 'used' condition, which are actually new but with a slight defect therefore in 'seconds' condition but they work just as well. The seconds are discounted by 60% down to $9.95 and also include the 30 days return/refund offer if you are not 100% satisfied. It takes up little space, is functional, and adds some texture to the room. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't rest a glass of red wine on it or anything, but for a bottle of water, or even a mug of coffee, it's effective.

Doesn't work, it may work on a perfectly square arms but not and curve it all. I'm going to keep it to see if I can use it as a Sushi maker.

This sofa tray works extremely well for having such a simple and elegant design. It's not ugly and overbearing like the plastic ones that seem to be the most common. I use them as both couch arm trays and ottoman trays! However, note that if you have a "round" couch arm, this won't actually work well for you, since it will conform to fit the shape of whatever it's sitting on. The seller is also wonderful and has great customer service!

I was not clear on this tray when I ordered it. I thought it had a flat area on the top for sitting things, it doesn't. I did not work for what I wanted to use it for. It is a good quality bamboo mat and the color was great. The seller was great in working with me on a return/refund.
