Promising if you can look past soldering issues and blending... otherwise search elsewhere.

Not terribly impressed with this one. Received on time with amazon prime, I couldn't wait to install into my new gaming PC to show off my internals. Install was a breeze with supplied molex connector. Plugged into my power supply to test, booted and.... Nothing.. played with the wires and connections only to see a flicker. even when pressing "on" on the included remote aimed at the Infrared Receiver, nothing. Diassembled unit to find cold solder joint around power port connections on circuit board. I fired up my soldering iron and repaired all connections and am pleased to say it works! The red, blue and green colors are beautiful. very bold, with adjustable brightness its perfect. Unfortunately I'm not looking for either of those colors, but rather the blends. I wanted a yellow close to gold. (bear with me) The gold color looks great but there isn't a diffuser installed so you can see the individual colors blended to make the desired color, leaving rainbow like streaks on my components and living room wall behind my case. Even with brightness adjusted down, the problem prevails. I will try adding something over the LED strip to blend the colors but I am already researching an alternative strip.

Great system at a great price

I just got it installed today, and so far I really like it. It was pretty easy to install and I had no issues wiring it up for my case. We will see how the sticky back holds up, but it felt pretty solid when I installed it, and I will update my review if I have any problems with it.

I ended up mounting the controller box to an empty HDD tray with the included zip ties. I had no problems getting the rest of the wires into place and out of sight. One of the led strips has a decent length cord, and the other comes with an extension cord, so if length is an issue just install the box near closer to one of your mounting locations. I had no issues installing a top and bottom strip in my full tower using the built in wire management of the case, so I feel wire length shouldn't be an issue for anyone. The remote has no problems seeing the infrared sensor though my case glass, but do make sure its mounted in an area that the remote can have line of sight to.

A great addition to any PC case!
by FlyinHawaiian (5 out of 5 stars)

A great addition to any PC case! These lights are BRIGHT and the colors are very vivid. Uses a standard MOLEX connector directly from the power supply and shuts off with the PC, or it can be turned off from the remote while the PC is on. Uses 3M double stick tape (pre-attached) which hasn't given me any problems so far, but there are more industrial strength double stick tapes out there if it should ever lose its adhesion. The wiring is directional, arrows need to line up (which are a little small and hard to see) but worst case scenario you hook them up backwards and they don't turn on until its corrected.

Overall happy with this product, ordering another set for a second PC soon!

Look awesome and actually last! *1 year update*

awesome leds, put them in my computer and they are bright enough to shine through my tinted side panel. I was even able to cut them up and use them inside of a custom illuminated logo panel i made. the rgb color range is ok but i only use white anyways. I am Vice president of a computer club and i take my computer to events, and always get compliments by people who arent even interested in computers. A friend bought a phanteks case and the leds that come with the case already have random shorting outs or a led section are stuck on one color but i have not had any issue with these. would buy again even if they did break.
**UPDATE**

so its been a little over a year since these got installed. on one of the sections on the strip the blue led has gone out. still going ok, just there is a bit of yellow light in the case now since i set my leds to white most of the time (red and green still work so without blue the section shows yellow). ill still leave it at 5 stars cuz 1 year is still quite long. ill be switching to individually addressable leds soon anyways.

Works Great!

I was looking for a lighting solution that was full RGB and would connect to my psu. This was perfect. The power adapter connects to a molex ide (old hard drive connector) cable, and it turns on and off when the pc starts and shutdowns.

I ended up only using one strip and it was plenty bright for my corsair 240 case. I couldn't be happier with this LED kit.

Possibly the best case lighting solution for the money.

I was a little skeptical before buying this kit but after seeing mostly positive reviews and noticing the price similarity to the CRT kits I went ahead anyway and am glad I did. Similarly to a few others I only needed one of the two lights in my 350D to illuminate the case and at full brightness it can be blinding at night; on the lowest setting it is perfect for casting a dim light over your high dollar parts. If you want bright case lights you won't be disappointed, especially when using both of them. Installation was easy and the 3M adhesive has held up extremely well even when top mounted. The flash and strobe options are neat party tricks but the ability to easily adjust the brightness and switch up the colors is definitely the main benefit of RGB over CRT.

My only notes are that you need to remove the battery cover on the remote - the piece of plastic that prevents battery drain during shipping - which sounds simple but caused me to wonder for about 10 minutes why the remote didn't work. The lights will flash green and shut off during first boot after install, this is normal and will function as intended once you turn them on with the remote. Finally, the IR receiver and/or code seems to be broad and certain remotes, such as my TV remote, will trigger functions (ie volume up on mine changes to the teal color) should you ever lose the included one or wonder why it keeps changing color.

Amazing LED strips, a true "Must Buy"
by Neptune (5 out of 5 stars)

These have absolutely perfect build quality, the adhesive on these are really good but they still usually never stick(just hot glue them) the color options are nice, please note that any rgb led strips that have a white option, are not true white(slight cyan tint) unless they are rgbw strips that have a white led built in as well.

The effects are alright, though It should be noted these do not gave a slow rainbow gradient wave effect where the color changes, smooth is similar but it fades to black then the next color.

Also a special warning to anybody with a tv in their room, the it receiver seems to use similar codes to that of a TV remote so it can get settings changed if you use a t remote near it, but try at should not really be an issue more of an unexpected side effect.

Works perfectly. Not exactly what I thought it would be as it only has specific colors it can produce. However the remote has many options Such as brightness controll, a white setting, (although it can create an ambient rainbow effect if inspected near the strips), around 20 different colors, a strobing/and color scrolling effect of which you can control the speed, and the sensor for the remote is quite reliable however it does need to be in a line of sight like a TV remote. I have my sensor behind the front mesh of my case, it's completely invisible and has about 90-95% responsivity. Very rarely do i have to change the angle of my hand for a better signal. All in all I'm satisfied with my purchase. These are easily the cheapest reliable rgb led lights specifically marketed to be placed in PCs

Very satisfied with these LED strips.
by Spencer Larson (5 out of 5 stars)

Can hardly say how satisfied I am with these LEDS.

They come in two pretty long strips with 2 of their custom connectors. You simply figure out where you want them, optionally you can cut the strips on the desired areas if you have too much, then peel off the tape to stick it on the area. The adhesive holds well and isn't too cheap from what I can tell. The LEDS are soo blinding if you look right at them on full brightness with the side panel off. When you have the strips installed you simply plug the Female connector (soldered onto the strips) onto the Male connecter and the male connector that you have to attach as an extension to the tiny little box (which plus into Molex by the way)

The only problem I had was one of the connections from the strip to the male connectors was very loose and caused the led strip to slightly flicker when the fans ramped up. Had some problems with it staying in but eventually got it situated in my case. Noticed with the remote you have to be pretty close plus aiming at the box inside your PC to make any adjustments to the LEDs. usually I hold my remote like 4 inches away from my side panel aiming at the box and make adjustments. Not like a garage door remote or anything but that's fine. It works!

Definite Pros:

VERY bright LED strips

Non software based.

Long strips

pretty decent adhesive.

Simple Installation.

Cons:

Very short ranged remote

Wish I had more strips!
(not a con for me but it is 12 volt LEDS not 5 volts which means they can only be active when your PC is turned on. You can always turn them off via remote though)

Anyway I have to say I am very VERY satisfied with this Product and glad I didn't have to solder anything. Painless installation if you know what you're doing and definitely something to use if you cant see inside your Side panel on your case!

Makes the insides look pretty. Except I have a non modular PSU and I can see lots of cords but oh well!!

I will probably buy some more if I ever need to or when I build my brother's PC. VERY satisfied and if you are looking for non USB 12v LEDS I recommend you buy these.

Great LEDs! Superb support!
by William M (5 out of 5 stars)
June 27, 2015

Awesome price and awesome product.

Pros: RGB, bright, different options to cycle colors, adhesive hasn't fallen off immediately like I hear with so many other strips, a remote to change on the fly.

Cons: The remote has to have a clear line to the little sensor bit. Not gonna knock a star off for it because I expect this to happen, I just have to awkwardly point the remote at the place I put it in my case. (In short, the metal of a case will interfere)

EDIT @ 7/20/15: Alright, so upon futher inspection I noticed that 3 of my top red LEDs were broken, which really shows up when using it (dark spot or miscolored area). I sent Satechi support an email about this and... just wow... their customer service is excellent! Super fast response and a free replacement was in my hand only a couple days later! I wish other companies would take note, this is how it's done. Will definitely buy another set for my next build.
