Bright and Comfortable

Anyone who bikes a lot with traffic should get Zackees Turn Signal Gloves. They are very easy to use by just making a connection with your thumb and hand. When you do this the gloves light up bright and let people know you are turning. The gloves are nicely padded and fit as expected. Mine came in a nicely packed box with spare batteries. This works better than hand signals in my opinion because most drives don't know them. The design is simple yet innovative.

Go to zackees.com and click Buy Now and click the sizing chart before you buy. This helps to get the perfect size for your hands.

If you bike a lot and are looking for biking gloves, stop wondering if you should buy them and buy them.

Awesome customer service

I purchased a pair over a year ago. They worked as claimed. I felt much safer riding in the dark. I bicycle about 9 miles each way to work about twice a week. The best part is when I started having troubles with the glove not lighting up. The contacts were corroded. I contacted Zackees. They gave me two options send them in and they will fix them up or we'll give you 50% off a new pair. I sent then back in and they took care of it. Awesome customer service.

Zackees are great. My gloves had a small defect and the custome service was excellent. They sent me a new pair and I am good to go! The gloves are super bright and I feel safer riding with them than without, without a doubt.

Small Fit, But Bright, Well Made, Great Cust. Srvc.
by Steven Y. (5 out of 5 stars)

The gloves seem Small ( I ordered medium). The Charger only worked once and now no lights. The charger is Very poorly made China junk, and looks like it was made for another application, since it is very hard to remove the battery once inserted. The instructions say nothing about how to wash these without damaging them, so I wouldn't. I sent an email to the manufacturer- We'll see if I get a response. The gloves are well made and the lights are nice and bright. They are over priced at $100 with a Junk charger, but I guess if it keeps just One car from hitting you, then I shouldn't complain.

Update: Customer Service responded within minutes, and advised replacement charger being shipped. Good on ya!

awesome gloves!

The gloves alone are high quality with padding in all the right locations. With the addition of the turn signals, you've entered the future. Extremely visible to others, and easy to maintain and clean. The rechargeable lithium's are aces. You can tell these gloves were made by actual road cyclists.

Replacement pair is much better.

The gloves fit well. Previous pair were inconsistent and didn't light when switch buttons were touched. Zackees sent me a new pair and they work like a charm. Going to use them on some more rides to see how they hold up - they may ultimately rate a 5 star rating. Happy so far and I'd recommend them!

My last cycling gloves...
by Art Laescapist (5 out of 5 stars)
February 27, 2015

I am elated with these gloves. How about that to start a review? I am a triathlete and therefore I cycle a lot... It's not always possible for me to train using relatively safe bike-trails plus it gets boring to ride same roads over and over and over again... Long story short - I ride streets too either for training purposes or when I'm riding to our local gym. (Seriously why do people drive cars to gym?) Despite the fact that I live in a relatively nice area - we do have some careless drivers in our area. Drivers that don't know signals that bicyclist would use to indicate his intentions, or drivers that know and just don't care. When you're dealing with those that don't care, I guess there isn't much you can do. I do have two lights on the back of my road bike. One is static and the second one is a blinker. I also have a front light and a bright one mind you. However, when you ride at night this might not be enough. I have been hit once and almost hit (would've been a serious one) another time. Lucky for me I walked away with only minor scrapes and bruises. Nothing serious. Both instances I was making a turn and a driver either ignored, didn't see me or simply misunderstood my signals. Didn't even slow down.

After that I've decided to research and find a solution to increase my personal safety. Stumbled upon Zackees and while hesitant at first, decided to give it a try. They are on the more expensive side of the spectrum but whoever tries to save on his own safety - deserves none.

After only a few days of waiting I had my new gloves in my hands. My initial reaction - quality! Yes, quality, quality, QUALITY! I am big on that. Remember what you pay is what you get? This is the case! Seams connecting fabric are all nice and symmetrical. Material feels soft and expensive. Please take a look at my photos! Pleasure to hold in hands and even a bigger pleasure to wear them.

About five years ago I had four of my flexor tendons cut in an accident (my right arm). My hand is at 95% now and I can bend my fingers almost as good as on my healthy hand. Because of that when it comes to longer rides I start getting numbness in my right palm area. This annoys me so much! Some say I just need to relax my grip a little. But I'm a fast rider and my reflexes are the way they are... Anyhow....... These gloves have about the softest yet low-profile padding I've ever seen. Trust me this isn't my first pair either. These are very grippy! So far after one ~100miler and 3 ~50 mile rides (I don't count shot rides) - I feel great! Maybe I'm too busy flashing people with my new lights and simply not paying attention, but so far I really do feel much better in comparison to my old Pearl Izumi gloves, which I still love by the way.

Pull-tab on ring and middle fingers to help get the gloves off is brilliant and so easy to use! You just use your index and middle fingers and they come right off even if your palms are sweaty! (PS: they really need to update those photos because you can see single pull-tab on them... It's different now. Not sure how it was before but double loop is working.)

Lights... Bright! VERY BRIGHT! When I was testing them I couldn't look directly at those LEDs that's how bright they are. People do notice them because I can see how all the pedestrians across the street stare at me when I give signals to cars around me. That part feels kinda cool too! Washed them once so far. No problems with water getting onto the electrical part. Apparently that coating they are talking about is in fact working. But I will make sure to come back in a few months and report on how it goes in regards of durability.

When I do my group rides during the daytime these are super useful riding in a peloton. You can get attention of your friends riding behind you to potholes, trash or what not, in a much more efficient way... You can also show riders heading towards you if you are about to take a turn. Like I said, these are super bright! I wish I could see regular pair but I don't have one. Once I'll see someone with the regular glove ill try to compare the brightness and add info about the results.

I do get a lot of compliments from my fellow riders. People ask questions and give pretty much universal praise. It feels nice but the best part is that I feel safer riding these. I do strongly believe that these gloves are destined to become industry standard at some point. Yes, they are on the pricey side as of right now but from what I've learned this is a fairly young product and so I am sure that people responsible for these will continue developing them and come up with ways to further reduce the production cost. Don't get me wrong - I think as is they deserve every single dollar. Get a pair! Try them! Borrow from a friend! It is a top-notch quality product that gets two kinds of attention. One makes you feel better and the other can potentially save your life!!! Highly recommending to everyone who cares about his own safety, and looks hehe...

Oh and by the way... I am using them when I go for my runs too. Anything to help me deal with all the cars on those dark streets.

Thanks for reading! Ride long and prosper!!!
(Now that I have a pair of my own, I don't really like the sellers photos... They do not do justice. So I am attaching my own. Sorry it's just iPhone but I've tried to capture some macro/details. Look at the packaging! Charger! Instruction! Like I said - What you pay is what you get!)

The gloves themselves are better than the other normal gloves that I've had
by Amazon Customer (5 out of 5 stars)

[500 mile update]
1. still super happy with the gloves. I think about 200+ of those miles are before sunrise, so these gloves really help.
2. battery changes are easy. Just slip the batteries out of a small slot and put new ones it. I have the rechargeable batteries, so a new set once a week works perfectly.
3. when I remove the batteries, I give the gloves a quick rinse and air dry. No problems there.

Bottom line: just buy 'em, you'll be happy you did
[original text]

The gloves themselves are better than the other normal gloves that I've had. They fit snugly as all gloves should and the construction appears quite durable. No short cuts here. They even saved my skin after a bit of a crash (road debris, 25 mph, before sunrise... no fault of the gloves). Just a bit scuffed up.

The LEDs have worked as expected. Even in a downpour of about 1 inch of rain in 30 minutes, no problems. I've had other riders ask "are they hard to use?"... nope. Just squeeze your finger and thumb together and there you have it. Super easy to use.

I'm a daily bicycle commuter and I leave before the sun rises. Before these gloves, when I got into the left side of the lane to turn left, some drivers would think I'm just being a jerk. Some have seen fit to give some ... verbal feedback. But with the LEDs blinking away, at least they know what is going on.

Great visibility, leather stretches to conform to your hand shape
by Mike (5 out of 5 stars)
July 14, 2015

Most of my cycling is for my daily commute of ~12 miles each way. Here in Wisconsin, especially in the fall and winter, the days can get short enough that I commute in the dark both ways. While my headlight, tail light, and spoke lights do provide good visibility for me at night, they show where I am and not where I am going. Enter Zackees. I am a big fan of the increased visibility these gloves give me while riding, especially in the dark when signalling my turns. My wife bought a pair of the rechargeable version for me as a Christmas present for 2014. I tried them out immediately, and quickly determined that I couldn't wear them in weather below freezing (my fingers would go numb). I just hope they come out with a winter version of these gloves before this coming winter; I can guarantee I'll be buying them! After waiting a couple of months for the weather to warm up enough that I could use them without freezing my fingers, I have worn them on almost every ride (with the exception of a time period where one of the gloves was out for repair). In late April I did have one problem wherein the right glove simply stopped working. My wife contacted Alena at Zackees, who was extremely helpful. We sent the glove back to Zackees (they provided a shipping label) and they repaired it and sent it back to us, all free. I have had absolutely no problems since then.

Don't be surprised if you get comments from people on the bright flashing lights on the gloves; they certainly draw attention. The comfort was good right out of the box, and has improved with time and wear: the leather on the palms has conformed well to my hands, and these have gone from being slightly tight to a near-custom fit.

Update 1/25/2016:

If you ever have any problems with your Zackees gloves, don't hesitate to contact the company. Zackees' customer service is excellent, and they are clearly dedicated to keeping their customers happy. My right glove stopped working again after a rainy ride, and rather than repair the problem a second time Roger at Zackees has authorized a free new pair of gloves with their latest technology to replace my first-generation pair.
