Nanotips Black was formulated specifically to withstand the most extreme conditions. Comprised of evenly dispersed ultra-fine conductive nanoparticles, each nanoparticle is carefully prepared so to interlink with one another; this helps to form a conductive grid-like film on the surface of the material.

Apply. Dry. Use! Applying Nanotips is an easy three-step process. Simply shake the solution, apply (from tip to knuckle and all the way to the edge of the fingertip) and dry. It's that easy. If you use a hairdryer to dry the solution, you'll have touch-screen gloves in as little as one minute! From snowboarding gloves to work gloves and running gloves to golfing gloves, Nanotips makes them all touchscreen friendly.

  • WORKS ON ALL MATERIALS

GOOD BUT TAKES SOME TRIAL AND ERROR TO GET IT TO WORK.
by Joseph L. Thomas (4 out of 5 stars)

I ride a motorcycle year round and use my iPhone in a case for navigation and music via bluetooth to my headset. It has been a real inconvenience to not be able to tap the screen with my gloves on. I was hoping this product would be the solution and it is but with certain draw backs. First time I applied it I shook it up and painted the tip that I would use on my very bulky winter riding gloves. I used a hair dryer to dry and it didn't work. I tried a couple more time and even tried not using a hair dryer and letting it dry overnight and it didn't work. I wanted to return it at that point but I didn't give and am glad that I didn't.

How I got it to work. I read all the reviews and responses from the company here on Amazon and went over the directions several times. Shaking it up is very important but the directions say to gently rotate the bottle back and forth to mix up the nano particles. What I think is that the bottle is to full and after I tired multiple applications there was more room to get the particles shook up (my theory). Next I increased the area I was painting on the glove, pretty much covering the entire tip including the top side up to the first knuckle. You can't just paint a small tip, it won't work. I don't understand how this makes it work but it does. You have to paint a large area even though you will only be pressing with a small part of the tip. So after about five applications it worked good on my left index finger probably about 90% of the time. I still have problems with the right one it works about 25% of the time.

The issues I have is the product is advertised to do 30 applications. I don't know if I will get that many applications out of it since it took so many to finally get it to work. It does seem to be durable as I have yet to reapply it after one week and I ride everyday for a combined two hours. Overall I like the Nanotips just know that it is not as easy as paint it on and go, their might be some trial and error until you get it right.

Less than satisfactory performance.

I have tried this on two gloves. I attempted both methods described in the instructions. First applying it on the pointer finger of the left hand glove in two coats and allowing it to dry overnight between coats. Then I applied two coats to the pointer finger of the right hand glove, but used a heat gun to dry each coat.

On the left glove, the material started to peel off after only about two weeks of light use (it has been raining a lot so I have only had a few good days to get out on the motorcycle). On the right glove, there is no sign of peeling. However, I am not very impressed with how the material works on the screen of my phone. It requires a lot of effort to get it to actually work. You need to press the material onto the surface of the screen pretty hard for it to actually function, and even then it often makes improper control inputs.

but so far I'm VERY happy with the gloves it's working on

This solution is very glove-dependent. It works fantastically on my Olympia Sports Vented Protector Glove (also available on Amazon). But does not work at all on my Alpinestars Apex Drystar Gloves, due to how the fingers are made on that glove. I don't know yet how long the Nanotips lasts, but so far I'm VERY happy with the gloves it's working on. I had a Samsung Galaxy phone which offers a screen-mode that is sensitive for gloves. But that did not work as well as the Nanotips does on my Motorola phone which does NOT have the screen-mode option for gloves.

This thing really works!

I think the trick is to apply an even, liberal coating across the entire contact surface on the glove, and then leave to dry thoroughly. The coating was applied four weeks back, the glove has been used every day since, and the effect shows no sign of wearing out so far. There's more than half left in the bottle as well. I'd not hesitate to buy this again.

Works as described.

Works good on my goatskin leather motorcycle gloves. It worked after one coat, but I applied two just in case. It is like a black fingernail polish so where you apply will be black. Make sure to read the directions as they say to apply in one inch squares, not a small dot.

Better than it has a right to be

This works better than it has any right. Used it on 4 pairs of gloves. The thickest winter, waterproof ones are hit and miss which is to be expected, the ones that are supposed to be touch sensitive with their conductive threat woven tips are also hit and miss but the thinsultate leather gloves are 100% as are the plain leather uninsulated ones. I would highly recommend this product. It is amazing. Like magic.

looked good, but after a short ride (about an hour)

fell off after only a few minutes out on the Road. Applied the night before and let gloves sit over night in hopes of ensuring a full drying of the application ... looked good, but after a short ride (about an hour); stopped for a break and noticed the tips where applied was gone ... never even got a chance to actually use

works great and applies easily

applies and smells like finger nail polish, yet on black leather gloves, it dries relatively quickly and becomes invisible; allows for iphone use even through a screen protector, also allows for easier use of touch screens in the car and even lets me get out the door at work that typically requires skin contact to unlock

I can't believe it really works

This stuff works great. I used about 1/3 of it preparing 2 gloves and it works great and has lasted a couple months. Much better to retain the gloves I like than to try to find others that are touchscreen capable. I am glad I purchased it.

Amazing! I've been looking into buying touch screen gloves
by R. Farner (5 out of 5 stars)

Amazing! I've been looking into buying touch screen gloves, but have a hard time hanging up my $140 HMK gloves that I love so much. This actually makes my gloves work better than "touch screen" gloves because most gloves are only touch on the pads of the fingers, with this I'm able to apply it where my finger actually touches my phone. Worth every penny.
