This is a good deal for the price. When the mobile phone is inside this case, the camera still works. A less bulky lanyard would be a nice option. The case is barely larger than the unmounted iPhone. Alternative cases cost close to $100 without a leash or lanyard, and are much more bulky. I tried a competitor case which is more rugged against dropping, has a belt clip but has no good place to attach a lanyard, and is much more bulky and requires unclipping the iPhone from belt clip in order to use the camera. This product is exactly what I was looking for. I take the phone sailing, motorcycling, hiking etc and I wanted to make sure I didn't lose it. The case is extremely light (I hardly know it's there). Watch Out!

Within a week my son's charging port broke. It looks like the snap that goes in the charging port bent some of the wire contacts within the port. Before this happened, I thought this was a good product. But, I do not recommend it due to the problems it has created for us. If you do decide to buy it, be very careful!

I bought this product so I would have a means to attach my phone to me when going on mountaineering outings. Recently it gave me added security during crevasse rescue practice on Rainier's glaciers knowing that I would not lose my phone if I accidentally dropped it when taking pictures. Serves my purposes very well and was exactly what I was looking for in a product.

I spent months looking for a phone case that I could attach to my purse or belt as I drop my phone on almost a daily basis and shattered my last iphone after dropping it a hundred too many times. So, when Kenu released the new iphone 5s case, I was very excited. Here's what I like about the case: -It's slim, attractive and fits the phone perfectly. All the phone features are as easy to use as if it were bare. -It's lightweight even with the bungee. -The clip is easy to attach and release and seems sturdy so far. -The bungee length is just right to talk on phone or take pictures while you're tethered, but short enough not to hit the floor when you drop it. Here's what could be improved on the next model: -A matte or non slip case. This one is pretty and crystal clear, but slick. Not a problem when you're attached to the bungee but there are times, especially at home or pre or post charging when you are just hand carrying the phone. -A waterproof version! One of the places I plan on taking my phone this summer is fly fishing. The Kenu is great to keep your phone from falling away forever, but not from getting dunked. Snow or stream, why not get the best of both--retrievable and water resistant? -A small, super lightweight carabiner so the Kevlar loop at the end of the bungee can quickly be transferred from coat zipper to purse strap to belt. The loops system isn't hard to use, but it is a little bit of a pain if like me you need your Kenu for daily use not just extreme sports vacations. I had a mountain biking accident that has left my gripping ability unpredictable, so I need a phone tether pretty much all day long to protect my phone investment. My mom is also a phone dropper due to neuropathy and arthritis, but she loves to dress up and could use a tether she could easily move from one purse to another. In summary, if you need a phone tether for special occasions or vacations, this will probably be entirely satisfactory. If you participate in watersports or need the bungee because you have medical issues or are just clumsy, this is not yet ideal. UPDATE: It's November 15th, 5 months after my Kenu purchase, and my iphone is cracked. I love the bungee part of this phone case so much and use it daily. However, it's not always practical to have on as you are moving around the house obviously, and the slickness of this case has caused me to lose my grip on the phone over and over. **I purchased the Kenu Highline iPhone 6 case about 3 months ago and have used it daily**

For somebody like me who was looking for an iPhone case that satisfies a VERY specific purpose... THAT OF PROVIDING A TETHER TO MYSELF OR MY GEAR... this is nearly perfect.

I climb things. Mountains, rocks, buildings, ladders, etc. I sometimes have to move quickly while climbing things.

I've had every number of expensive and cheap cases. None provide a dummy cord like this one for when I drop the device. While it's likely not a big deal when it's protected inside an Otterbox and only falls 36", it is a big deal when your device slides out of your cargo pocket when you are contorting your body around a ledge, and falls several hundred feet below to it's ultimate demise.

Bottomline: this thing is extremely legit if you know why you are getting it.

Still very impressed with the Kenu Highline for my iPhone after a year of use. In the single instance I contacted Kenu customer service, I received a near-immediate response and friendly interaction. Still highly recommend for those seeking protection for their iPhone with an ability to tether to almost anything.

I bought 2. One is for me, one is for my friend. After 2 month, my case was broken every corners. And then 2 days ago, my friend had a big problem. Lighting lock was broken inside, he could not take out it. At last he spent $30 dollars at repair shop to take out broken piece from lighting.

I just say "it is glass". Don't use it out side.

The new iphone cameras as excellent. I have found myself, more and more, using them as my sole camera on vacation. They are convenient, easy to use and don't take up any extra space. Other than the lack of significant telephoto, they are marvelous. But this isn't a smartphone camera review.

The biggest problem I have when vacationing is concern over accidental loss of my phone. I found myself on the Sydney bridge in Australia, trying to take shots of the amazing views, with a death grip on my phone. I was convinced it was going to leap out of my hand and plummet hundreds of yards into the seething waters below, never to be seen again.

I have missed amazing shots while riding on a chairlift in the winter for fear that I would fumble my phone and it would, again, plummet down, never to be seen again. Given cold fingers, gloves, and ski poles, this is even more likely on the lift than on a bridge.

So, try to find a tethered case for your phone. I've looked and looked. I was able to find one in Sydney for my 5, but until I found this case, there was none to be had for my 6. I have since purchased and used this case. It's great! The black case is sturdy and attractive. It has a low profile, so my 6 still fits in a lot of the places I had sized for my 5. The tether is removable. My only concern is that I might misplace the tether, since I don't keep it on all the time. I have so far used this for skiing and intend to use this for all the rest of the trips I take, and any other risky place I take my phone. Far better to avoid the drop in the first place, I say.

So I lost my phone a month ago because it slipped out of my pocket and was left in a cab. This case is great for me now when I go out for the night, I can attach it to a belt loop and keep my phone securely in my pocket. The leash attaches securely to the case and its very light weight. Will also be good for when I go skiing.

Cons:

The case is a little slippery but since it's attached to the cord it's not that big of a deal. Also wish the price was around $20, I think $30+ is a little steep for a minimalistic case

Great invention! This is my second Highline, my first one being for my iPhone 4S. I liked it enough to buy this one when I upgraded to the iPhone 6. My only reservation is that the plastic clip that attaches the cord to the case may break over time as a result of the flexing that is required every time I remove it to charge the battery. Time will tell.

I prefer using my front pockets for my phone. But, my jeans don't have deep enough pockets - so, I just attach my cool leash to a belt loop and I'm set. If my phone falls out (which it hasn't so far) or if I drop it (which hasn't happened yet, either) I'm confident this will "catch" it. Also, I don't have to dis-attach my phone to use it. Great design!

I bought this for a business trip to Europe since I didn't want to have to worry about losing my phone whilst overseas. Overall it worked very well, and was exactly what I wanted. The cord had plenty of strength and reach to it, so that I was able to tether the phone to my purse or pocket and still use it. I didn't feel self conscious using it, in fact I got several comments about what a good idea it was. The only disadvantage was that I had to take the phone out of its regular waterproof/shockproof case so it was not as well protected as it usually is, however the peace of mind I had with the phone tethered was worth it. I will definitely use it again when I travel.

This is exactly what I've been needing. I've had this case for a while now and I'm completely satisfied. I'm a rock climber and this case has allowed me to take pictures with my phone from some very precarious spots. Now I don't need to worry about dropping my phone down into the abyss. I was a bit hesitant about the leash being secure enough, but to my surprise, it is very secure. The case itself is my everyday case. I have one minor complaint. I wish it covered a bit more of the top and bottom of the phone. Other than that, it's great. I contacted Kenu with a customer service issue and it was resolved very quickly with complete satisfaction.

I bought this case specifically to use the leash while rock climbing. The case is perfect for it's intended use. Low profile, pretty durable and the clip worked well to give me the extra security I needed to be able to comfortable hang out from the rock edge and take photos of my wife and friends as they climb!
