when I first got it and tried it ,it was hard to lite and the stick part broke a few times so many that there was only a few left to use .as for me to be getting anymore I'll just say that I'll be looking for something like it but NOT those ones for sure somewhat a waste of money in my opinion

Doesn't work. The outside of the holder got a little damp and then wouldn't light any of the matches.

Matches burn way too quick

I don't know if it is because they are water proof, but be aware that these burn fairly quickly. I expected them to have a little more burn time. It could be that they burn high because they are waterproof, but seemed too quick for me. I'll update the review once I test in wet/rainy condition.

It was smaller than I expected (not sure why I expected it to be bigger though..) Its exactly 2.5 inches tall, and just shy of 1 inch wide. That's 1/4 of an inch taller than a Zippo. Nice vintage look with a sort of shiny polish. Everything on it is metal except for the mechanism that is used to hold the lid open/closed, and it seems to weigh the same as a Zippo. It comes with flint, wick, and Cotton, no fluid. The little band that is attached is what looks like a very thin leather. I don't feel like tugging on it too hard, just in case it may break off.

Fancy, But Need Some TLC Before Using

I bought two of these lighters and I like them. They are really cool looking and work well, even if they are smaller than I thought they'd be. I marked one star off because I did have to work with them a bit before they actually performed reliably. I had to replace the o-ring on one of the lighters I bought because it would not hold fluid. Also, I removed about 50% of the cotton stuffing from each before they would last for more than a couple of lights. There was no instruction on what to do with them, so I just filled with lighter fluid and got going. They are packed so tight with cotton however, it doesn't take much to fill them up. Removing about 50% of the stuffing hit a decent balance between having enough to hold the liquid in and having enough of a reservoir to be reliable for more than two strikes. Otherwise, they work great.

Works great, easy to use this cute lighter and even it doesn't have the wind protective part, will not be easily extinguished by any breeze ! The matches ... be sure that you hide them, not just the kids do not find them, the grown up children too ! My brother-in-law (38 yrs. old), burned a few just enjoying the flame ! Not to mention that it is a nice surprise discovering that really you receive a set of each item, two lighters - different colors and two boxes (waterproof), with matches ! Thank you !

As others have said, it's a very cool-looking steam punk-ish lighter.

Biggest downside is that lighter fluid seems to be evaporate out of the reservoir quite quickly. I filled it, it worked well for a few test lights, and after a week of non-use it was dry again.

It's a fun toy for awhile

It's a fun toy for awhile, The issue is that the O-rings that are installed on the end cap do not seem to be compatible with lighter fluid, because after a few days I noticed that the O-ring was swelling, and then it broke after being saturated with lighter fluid. Additionally, it doesn't seem to be possible to buy replacement wicks for this, and wicks for the popular flip-top lighter in America are too big to fit this lighter. It's a shame that it's basically a ten dollar disposable lighter.

For a few weeks I use it, it seems to be a good quality. Didn't expect it to be this small, but it's nice how it fits in the pocket. Less refills than Zippo.
