Cheap and easy, but looks great!

My wife and I (mostly myself) put this up a week ago. We opted to forgo the wallpaper glue and went with command strips and painter's tape. The command strips stick the posters to the wall and the tape pulls the edges together with very little indication of a seam in most cases. I then used a razor to clean it all up around the ceiling and trim since I have yet to live in a house that's perfectly square and plumb all the way around!

A totally misleading ad. Product details reads: Large format poster "Cartography", for geography and travel enthusiasts as a wallpaper". I purchased this world map based on the ad and to use it as a wallpaper. After purchasing a high quality wallpaper glue to mount the wall map, the paper deteriorated within 5 minutes, ripped in 3 areas and paper sagged making it impossible to mount a smooth finish look. I've been hanging wallpaper for over 20 years and this has never happened before. See pictures of results prior to removing off the wall. I ended up removing the map off the wall in 4 pieces and garbaged it. This is a paper photo poster and definitely NOT to be used as wallpaper. Had I known that in advance, I would have mounted it differently. I wasted both my time and money and not impressed. GREAT ART needs to edit its product info and remove the wallpaper option, as its clearly is not the case for this wall map.

This Map came exactly as described. I was really worried about hanging the 5 panels like wallpaper and how it would look. But it looks fantastic. I framed it with molding and will stay in it in the coming week [picture Attached].

We ordered the 55"x39" poster and couldn't be happier. The poster looks great and feels sturdier than expected. The seller even included two additional posters that are going yo on the walls. Overall, very happy with the purchase and would recommend this to friends in search of a vintage looking map.

We put this up in our office. We really like it. The one big issue is that the several different strips that the paper comes in do not actually match up exactly. The latitude and longitude no lines do not quite match up from one piece to the next and neither do the continents or names. We tried several times to line them up differently, but they are just printed slightly different from one piece to the next so no matter how you lined it up either the top or the bottom will be off depending on which is more important to you. They are only off by a few millimeters, but it is noticeable if you get up close.

Love the poster but it wasn't as easy to put up. I bought poster glue at Home Depot, took my time and it still has bubbles in it and some parts even ripped while trying to smooth out the bubbles. Shame because it is a great idea but right now my poster is up with tons of bubbles in it and I would hate to buy another and have the same issues. For now I think I'll keep it up and when I can't Stand looking at the bubbles anymore I'll take it down.

Horrible, al the panels are a different size

Horrible, al the panels are a different size. We painted my sons room based on this map. Went to put it up and the countries don't even align. One panel was over an inch shorter then the other. Once we realized the damage was done. Worst part is our carpet gets installed tmrw. We are out the money of the paint, wall paper paste and removing it destroyed are wall. I am not one to write a negative review but the money this ended up costing us and the damage done is worth warning people about. I have no idea how this product has decent reviews. I keep getting more and more products like this from Amazon...

Welp, it's just a poster printed on cheap paper. I figured at the price it would be more durable. It ended up creasing ripping as soon as I tried mounting it. It came with two other posters witch are completely useless to me. One you have to cut out yourself and the other of New York City. I'm a country boy so for me a picture of a city isn't even remotely appealing. I wish they would have taken that money used on the extra prints and printed the image I actually wanted on better paper.

I didn't want to leave a terrible rating as I do think the overall quality of the product is not that bad, especially given the price. With that said, that is assuming if you don't care too much of the details - for certain wallpapers where you only have patterns or solid colors etc, this should not bother you. However, in my case, I bought this world map mural where some mis-cuts might cause issues. As you can see in the pictures, it is clear that certain countries or prints don't seem to align or simply got cut off (note, there's no overlap or trimming in the picture - what you see is what you got). It is unfortunately visible and noticeable when you have a world map to size of almost 14ft * 8ft on your main wall in the living room.

Again, if you are buying other murals that do not require much of the accuracy, it would be a great buy - so don't let me stop you. But I would suggest look around a little bit more for this type of project.
