Sounds Good and Lights Up!
by BritGal (4 out of 5 stars)

This sounds great for the money - way better than I expected. I like my music loud and this can be very loud. I've used it for parties where all the guests have commented on how good it sounds and how cool it looks with the lights around the speakers. I've used it when home alone, loud enough to hear clearly all over the house and on the back deck (my husband and I have completely different tastes in music - his is horrible - and he doesn't like it loud). I put it on when working out and when in my woman cave.

It is easy to move from room to room - not too heavy - it has a small footprint so will fit nicely just about anywhere.

The one strange thing is that it doesn't sound anywhere near as good when whichever device you are using to play your music is attached by the auxiliary cable. Blue Tooth sounds great and is definitely the way to use this speaker.

I stream my Prime playlists using either my phone or a 7" tablet, both of which fit neatly and securely into the slot on the top. There is a charging port so you can keep the device charged while it plays all day.

I also use it to play my Sirius Satellite radio on its home kit and the auxiliary cable. The sound quality, as I mentioned above, isn't as good on the cable but it's radio so I don't expect it to be as good.

It doesn't remember which mode your were in after you turn it off which is just a minor irritation. You have to cycle through radio, blue tooth, music, to get to what you want (assuming you don't want radio every time) but overall very happy with the performance for the price I paid.

It just broke
by Christine (1 out of 5 stars)
November 13, 2018

So at first this worked great. I used this product but not every single day nor did I use it hours on end. About 2 months ago (it wasn't even on) I was sitting in my room when it sounded like something snapped off of something. I thought maybe something in the room broke, but couldn't figure it out. Next time I tried to use the speaker it wouldn't change modes and would just shut off. When I tipped it forward to turn it off and back on I heard something rattling around, and realized that's what I heard snap. Now I have a large paper weight and will have to buy another speaker elsewhere.

... ordered who's speaker for my new house but was disappointed when I plugged it in at my current h

I ordered this speaker for my new house but was disappointed when I plugged it in at my current house. I thought the sound was drowned out. I had it in my bedroom and the sound didn't fill up my bedroom, let alone the house. My old house was carpeted and my new house has all hardwood floors and it makes a HUGE difference. I don't even have it all the way up and I can hear it all through the house, basement included and even outside of the house. I have a 1400 square ft house and it's in my living room and can be heard all through the house and once again it's not even at max. I did have the issue some people had about one of the speakers not being attached to the tower but it was an easy fix and had to just push it back in. I am very pleased.

decent tower
by Wrath of Math (3 out of 5 stars)

Really want to give 3.5. There isn't really anything wrong with this tower. And I suppose its a great price. However, the Bluetooth fails after 2-3hours of continuous play. By fail I mean it starts playing really choppy and needs to be power cycled to fix it. I knew going in that the LED was only off/on, but it would have been a nice feature to have programmed fading/blinking/sequencing for the LED lights. Aside from that it is an attractive piece and functions as expected. Would consider buying a 2nd one.

Cheap price, cheap quality
by Jacob Cohen (3 out of 5 stars)

When I got this item, its speakers were popped out of the frame, exposing the internal wiring of the device. I had to carefully jam them in the frame, and while doing so, a part of the wooden frame snapped. I was able to fix it with some Gorilla Glue (I call it miracle gel) and the speaker works fine now. It sounds alright for what it is. It's a speaker made by Sharper Image. If it were made by Bose or JBL, I'd expect something much better.

Surprised how good
by SDJ73 (4 out of 5 stars)

Really like this speaker. Very portable, use it in the middle of my home and it projects everywhere, also can take it outside for the pool. ipad/phone slot works great and happy to have a charging input there. Low end could be a bit better and not a great interface as far as switching input and such. For the price though and really good product.

Update - still good for the price I guess, but after trying to use the FM radio function a bit disappointed, no tuner or dial so it searches using arrow buttons, but never seems to get past 89.5-95.5 freqs. Not sure what the deal is there, but glad I do not use that feature much as it is virtually useless.

Assembly was easy..
by Amazon Customer (4 out of 5 stars)
December 7, 2015

The package arrived quickly. I ordered it on Friday and got it on Monday. Assembly was easy...simply plug it in unless you want to do a wired speaker connection then use the Aux cables provided. Pairing the Bluetooth was a piece of cake. The sound is great as well as the bass. You can turn up the volume from the remote or from your phone. At first I was worried because when I turned the volume up from the remote it wasn't as loud as I expected the voice command even said maximum volume. But I was able to turn the volume up from my phone...let's just say after I did that my tenant upstairs thought I was having a party. I gave the product four stars because the screws for the bass to go at the bottom of the tower was not in the package so as of right now it seems to standing sturdy without it. Besides the missing screws I am very satisfied with the product.

They were easy enough to pop back in
by Amazon Customer (3 out of 5 stars)
May 4, 2018

I received this speaker tower with all 4 speakers hanging out of the frame. They were easy enough to pop back in, but one speaker was damaged and doesn't work. So... now I have 3 working speakers for sound and lights. I also had a little damage to the bottom part of the frame, I'm almost sure that happened during the delivery. This tower would've otherwise been perfect. I don't know if it is just poorly put together, poorly packaged, or rough delivery, but It can't be only during delivery, right? Buyers take this into account.

Prone to bluetooth interference and then it needs help.
by WiredWrong (3 out of 5 stars)
December 10, 2015

I wanted to love this tower but its just OK.

Pros:

Sound - Sound quality (the actual sound when music is playing) while connected to bluetooth is great. Nice base, and if you have a music app that allows you to adjust the treble/bass/etc. you can get it to sound just right according to your preferences.

Lights - while the blue/orange combo looks a little meh, when the lights are actually on you only see the blue and its nice, can also double as a night light :)

Layout - Its pretty straight forward, pretty much anyone should be able to figure out how to operate and run this tower.

Volume - This thing can get loud! Jack up the volume on your device you have connected and then up the volume on the tower itself and you can shake windows.

Cons:

Bluetooth - The main reason for buying this tower was the bluetooth option however the tower is VERY prone to interference. And its not a quick skip and then resume either, most of the time when the tower experiences interference it will continue to glitch until you actually go and turn off the tower then turn it back on to clear it. I do tend to get a mod. amount of interference to bluetooth devices in my area however the other 3 bluetooth headphones/speakers I have always clear themselves up after a second or two. I've never had a device act like this tower does where it will just continue to glitch - i let it go for up to 10 minutes once just to see if it would finally work its self out, it didn't - until manually reset. I almost sent this back due to this and if it wasn't for the aux plug I would have.

Aux/Direct plug - Ok so I just said that this was the reason I kept the tower but there is a con to this as well. Surprisingly this tower sounds great via bluetooth (when its working right) but sounds muted when connected via aux. Now I do just have a basic aux cable, didn't buy anything fancy so maybe a higher end cable or whatnot would work better but just as a basic set up the sound quality via direct connection is lacking. The sound is OK but it lacks the bass and depth that you get via bluetooth.

Radio - As other reviewers have said the radio is a joke. Apparently it really wants me to listen to static but I've seen that movie and I'd rather avoid gateways to the other side so no. Radio is a pointless feature on this tower and they really should have just left it off.

Memory - A minor pet peeve I have is the tower doesn't remember what feature you had it set to before you turn it off meaning if you have it on bluetooth then turn it off, when you turn it on again its going to be on radio. Radio is the first option and, as stated above, since it generally just wants to blast static, it can be a bit annoying to have to cycle past it to get to the mode you want EVERY time.

Overall: This tower is good - IF - you live in an area where bluetooth runs smoothly, in fact I'd venture to say this tower could be perfect. However, if you live in an area that is prone to interference save yourself the aggravation and look else where.
