A Serious Tool

This a not a toy. This is a sturdy, durable tool, and it works flawlessly. The end of the handle is not very comfortable, but if you are especially picky, it's relatively easy to machine a back handle of your own.

It's not fagil, but it's also not an everyday tool - it is to be used in emergencies and other rare scenarios where such a tool is needed. Don't go digging trenches in you backyard with it just because - there are cheaper and more specialized shovels for that.

All parts work, nothing is broken or looks like it will break any time soon.

Great for backpacking

Use this for backpacking/camping and love it. I use it as a hatchet to gather firewood and as a shovel to bury dog waste while out on the trail. Doesn't add a bunch of extra weight and is very sturdy so it doesn't feel like I'm going to break it when taking full swings on a branch.

I took a star a way because the tools at the end fall out way to easily!

I was looking for a gift for a teenage boy I don't know very well. He's in Boy Scouts along with my son. When this showed up my son was so enamored I ended up buying a second one for him. This has been a HUGE HIT in their scout troop. It's very well made, has tons of doodads, and is light enough that it's easy to take on their backpacking trips. My son has used it to saw wood, take care of his (ahem) latrine issues, and recently he wowed his friends using the fire starting tool. I'd recommend this for anyone who camps/hikes and feels like they could use some of these built in tools.

Enjoyed this when I went camping it did everything we needed it to do! And yes the handle is made out of plastic it would have been nice if it was metal but regardless was great! Even used it as a hammer for my tent!

Amazing product. Everything worked as it should. I've used it as a tension bar to remove a flat tire and a camp light while using the flint to start a fire. Even took it to my local gun store and made everyone jealous. I'm going to buy one for each of my families vehicles.

its ok, its a lot smaller than expected and the fire steel knife in the handle does not lock securely and could fall out, other than that its ok it will do small digging tasks.

Lightweight, compact and works as I intended it to, however the plastic handle is somewhat cheaply constructed w a cusp line where two half's meet up and i don't think it will hold up to long term hard use or even one event should you need to really swing it a self defense manner or in any chopping hatcheting style swinging.

Perfect for our camper. Serious, heavy duty little shovel. Handle is long enough for working over the campfire coals without scorching hands. Truthfully a good self defense item at the camp site as well. It's "hoe" position is actually functional (unlike a lot of camp shovels). Only improvement opportunity is a bit more substantial cover/sheath.

One of the best tools I have purchased . I love to have things with multiple application and this only second to my leatherman and EDC tools!!! I will be getting another as a gift for my friend! Get it whaike they are available . Don't settle for fake one
