Camera Dolly
Camera Dolly consists of a mobile chassis and a 360-degree swivel base. Add a smart phone or a camera onto this robot and start filming from a low angle. You can also preset a path for the robot to follow in order to capture the moments of your life.

3D Capture
Add a cell phone to realize 360-degree panoramic ?lming or let the robot ?lm while moving around small objects. When connected with an app, it can simulate 3D scanning beautifully.

We have been using these for a couple of years, kids like them, lots to customize, and quick shipping.

These are my go to robotics kit, and very budget friendly, and durable. Our after school group uses these exclusively for our robotic program.

Great kit! I got this for my 8 year old daughter who loves logos, and wanted to take it to the next step. We built the first robot together, and she was so excited. It is great watching kids learn, and she was so happy when she was able pick things up and drive around with her new creation. I am already looking at expanding to new sensors to keep up with her imagination.

It is good to see a company who still believes in creating a quality product.

Fantastic hardware! The software is tricky, though, and not well documented. It can take a while to get up and started (days or weeks before you really have it under control) and the forum is indispensable for learning what the company doesn't tell you.

Honestly, this product is still at the "hobbyist" stage, where it's great for those with the time and inclination to dig deep into the details. With the current availability of documentation, however, it's not at the "casual consumer" plug-and-play level of maturity. Don't buy this as a gift except by request-the recipient needs to know and look forward to what she or he is getting into! If you're game, though, it's a blast!

Nice kit, all parts clearly labeled, I followed the instructions for the first robot , had some fits and starts, most importantly *be sure to update the firmware* with the software available on the makeblock site. Once I did that, the robot is working perfectly now using my android phone as a controller. Next step is to experiment with the app and the software to write autonomous programs, but I wanted to leave a quick review for others. I'd recommend this kit to a first time builder (like myself) and it seems to offer much expand-ability . I am impressed!

The product as a starter is good for children and enthusiasts to build and they have many useful hardware modules and extensions. Seeing the community I was interested in buying.

However regarding software, this is only good if you are experienced with Arduino IDE because you can have little more freedom than other high-level language APIs. The Python and NodeJS APIs, that this product advertise to support, are highly unstable, not fully baked, encoder motor APIs t don't work and the tech support straight away rejects any kind of help to work around their own bug. Their language is not rude, but to me the behavior is. If I would have known, I would have gone for a general Arduino board instead of MegaPi.

Bought this for my son's science fair project and it was great. The directions included were clear and easy to follow. The packaging kept everything in great shape for shipping. The only disappointing thing is that there are only written instructions for three of the robot designs. The instructions for the other designs are all animated videos at the company web site and were not as easy for him to follow along. It would be great if the company made them available as a downloadable pdf.

Good product. It need to come with a manual on the different product to build based on the part within the kit. The person I bought it for lives in a rural area without internet. I had to print instructions from the internet and take to them so they can use the product.

Overall, I really like this robotics kit. My main complain is it advertises as "10-in-1 Robot" kit. They only supply printed instructions for 3 of the 10 robots.

If a robot kit advertises "10 in 1", then it ought to include instructions for all 10 projects. I do not want to go on-line and watch some video. I want printed instructions.

If you want to get started in DIY robotics/automation, this is a good choice. The manufacturer went to great lengths to make things easy to use for beginners. You can build the 10 robots, and, using the app, they are easy to control. Once you feel more comfortable with the HW, you can look at programming the controller directly.

All-in-all, this is a quality kit, and I am glad I bought it.
