fun little flash drive

What's not to like? It's a USB drive, so you can bring your files around, and it's LEGO. I love Lego. Since it's an actual brick, you can actually use it in builds, so I've put things on it like wheels, and then we push it across the table in the office when we need to share files the old-fashioned way.

The only thing that costs it a star is that the sliding mechanism is a little flimsy -- it's very easy to push it back in inadvertently as you're plugging it in, and that means you won't actually get a connection. Or even when it's all the way in, sometimes you need to wiggle it so the contacts make proper contact. Maybe a more traditional USB head would have been better -- the brick is tall enough anyway to hide a normal USB head. Or maybe a better lock on the slider so that it snaps solidly in the extended position.

Also, while I appreciate why the plastic loop is there, for looping a lanyard around, it means I can't use the brick as a full brick because on one side, I can't put anything next to it. So much for hiding my files in plain sight -- built into the wall of my Lego house!

I would give this product 10 stars if you could stack USB Lego bricks and have their capacity add up. :)

It's a flash drive AND it's a Lego brick. Cool. Great for the kids ... or cleverly disguise secret documents and files in plain sight by incorporating the brick into an existing Lego model. Thieves will never be the wiser!

Only critique is that the picture shows a strap/string clip type thingy attached to the flash drive but it's not included with the item. It was kinda an important feature we wanted so the kids could attach the flash drive to their backpack or equivalent (instead of loose in the bottom of the bag). Easy enough to fix at home but a tad misleading.

Cute USB Flash Drive, but it's tricky to use

Ok so this is a cute little USB Flash drive that I got for my 5th grade son to use at school. It's super-cute, but it can be a little tricky to put into the USB port-the plug pushes out, but it's hard to get all of the way into the port because it wants to retract, so you have to holder the slider firmly.

It's an actual LEGO that will fit with other LEGOs so you could potential turn it into something else. However, I had to write "USB" on the side of it with a sharpie so it wouldn't get mistaken for an actual LEGO! (They use LEGOs with storytelling and use LEGO Robotics).

LEGOs are classics. My husband recently transferred our VHS family movies to the computer, and I wanted to send my son a copy for his 37th birthday. I looked for a flash drive that would be hard to misplace or forget, and this one did the trick. I've never bought anything from LEGO that wasn't high quality, and this is no exception. It's small and simple, but it's hard to get it mixed up with other flash drives. If I were really creative, I could take the old LEGOs from storage and build something around it before I send it to him.

I am in the Network Security field and also a student. I have had many flash drives in my day, and I have to say that when it comes to quality, you can't get more for your dollar with any other brand besides PNY! I am a HUGE Lego fan so when I saw this I had to have it. I use this one for my school assignments and to store HD Videos on. It has very fast read/write speeds for a 2.0 connection and it's a dang Lego brick for goodness sake!

If you're a Lego fan and in search of a flash drive, look no further. You will be very satisfied with this product!

Dead after 3 monts

It was worked fine only 1 month, then files on it become corrupted and after 3 months from purchase it become readonly and nothing helps. From repair service verdict was disk dead and irreparable. Lego brick is OK, but flash memory is total crap.

I thought these were silly and just got them as a stocking stuffer for the sake of having stocking stuffers for my kids and THEY LOVED THEM. They're in their 20s, so Legos are a thing, I guess, and these struck a chord. Really it's the novelty of the item that makes it desirable... it only holds 2 GB which is practically nothing these days.

Got this for my husband. He absolutely loves it and gets compliments from all the guys at work. This is half the price that we found it at Best Buy for. Only thing I have to say negatively (or not really) is that it is very small. I would not get it for a student because they might lose it very easily.

I bought this as a prize / gift for my employees and they love it! Its fun, inexpensive, and functional. The other thing is that it is low profile. Some of the cutsie USB flash drives are nice but wont fit into tight spots because they are too big. This offers the cute factor without sacrificing functionality.
