- Creates realism to your fire.
- Hides burner pan.
- Can be used with lava rock for added realism.
- Lasts for years.

✔ Unvented (use according to appliance instructions)

Installation:

- Simply pinch small clumps and place near gas ports on burner pan.
- Place small amounts on logs where the flames "lick" the logs for ember effects.
- Many installers use a stiff bristle brush to "flick" a dusting of wool material on a log to add additional glowing effects where the flames touch.
- Hint! You can lightly spritz a log with water to help the wool stick to the log in the area where the flame will touch.

Quantity:

- Comes in a generous 9" x 12" bag-full (approx 6-oz) that should be enough to dress up an entire fireplace.

Lots of Stuff

It doesn't sound like much, but 6oz of rock wool is a fireplace full. Great looking stuff! I think our gas fireplace really looks like the "real thing" once it's up and going.

nice effect

Cool stuff. Seems to do the job. It adds a "glowing ember" feel to your fireplace under the logs. I use it in a gas log fireplace with some lava rocks. I recommend putting fairly good-size wads of it in clumps, and then the rocks on top so it looks like the glowing embers are under the rocks, and you don't actually see the wads of rock wool. One bag is about right for a small gas fireplace.

Use small thin amounts. I went to YouTube to see how to do this best. This stuff made my gas fireplace and it looks much better now. It's a cheap fix.

Works Great!

The Rock Wool works great and goes a long way. Lots left over for future use if I need to replace it. Wish I took before and after photos but I wasn't thinking. In the photo below the glowing embers under the logs didn't exist before and the source of the flame looked obviously gas jet-produced before.

Great product for gas fireplace - easy to add

We recently purchased a gas fireplace, and after watching the installer only add a handful of rock wool, we decided to purchase more to cover all of the exposed base. This works and looks great.

Brighten your life! You need these!

I am new to the gas fireplace world and was recommended to use a product such as this to spice up a dull fireplace. Just pull apart a few of these bad boys and sprinkle them around your gas fireplace. It glows like real embers on a fire. Adds a very comfy feel to any fireplace!

I bought these to go along with our ceramic logs and portable propane fire pit to give it that realistic fire look. Guess what? IT LOOKS GREAT!!!!! My husband loves it and that's all that counts! Thanks!

Do not use this wool to make socks! Not a good insulator!

What did I like about it? I like that they gave me enough that I can change it out once per week for 300 years. I like that it works. I've been using it for almost a whole week now, so yes, i'd say it's durable. Does the job and doesn't break the bank.
