Fairly good for a fair price

I have been using Logitech MX Master on this for some time and let's talk about a few issues regarding this mouse pad.
1. The base. The non-slip rubber base is really non-slip. If you don't lift it or push on the side of it, you won't be able to move it. That said, only moving your mouse on top of it won't move the pad. It just sits on the desk pretty firmly, and I'm talking about wooden desk. I'm sure it'll work fine on most surfaces.
2. The material. The material used to make this aluminum pad is not so "fine". It's not fake or poor quality, but the aluminum particles are not as fine and small as those used in macbook and dell monitor's stand, making the surface of this mouse pad not as smooth. But it's a lot more shining than those surfaces. And of course that leads to the noise mentioned by many reviews. I don't find it that bothering since the noise is just your mouse moving on it. It's not significantly louder than moving your mouse directly on your desk, and I'd say that's about the sound when you use it on hard mouse pad.
3. Daily use results. The pad is thin and light, so it's not that difficult to bend it with your hands. I'm not able to scratch the top surface with my finger nail and I'm not gonna try using a ball pen. But after almost two weeks' daily using, there's no scratch on the top. I do find a few scratches on the back, probably left when moving the pad on the desk without lifting it. But those are on the back so I'm not bothered.

Above all, this mouse pad is fairly good. If it could be built with finer materials, I would rate it five stars.

FINALLY - the perfect mouse pad for my Magic Mouse!
by Mary T. Graffeo (5 out of 5 stars)
July 26, 2016

This is the BEST mouse pad for my Magic Mouse 2! All my Apple products match this pad and my laser mouse can now track accurately, as it could not on my clear plastic desk pad. My old desk had a large section where the lacquer and color had worn off the top because of the mouse. Now, my Magic Mouse 2 sits on the new Nulaxy Aluminum mouse pad - right next to my Magic Trackpad 2. Thus, whatever program I'm using can have the eight tracking device!

The Nulaxy is slim, with angled, shiny edges, and the top has a matte finish. The mouse does make a "sandy" sound, but it's no worse than using the mouse on the top of my desk, and, anyway, the sound doesn't bother me at all! The 4 rubber feet keep the mouse pad wherever I put it, and the pad never moves as I use the mouse.

After all the mouse pads I have tried, I have FINALLY fount THE PERFECT ONE - the Nulasky Aluminum non-slip Mouse Pad! Here is a piece of equipment that Apple should sell in its stores - it's wonderful for the Magic Mouse - 1 or 2!!!

Great Mouse Pad - Proper mouse will not make noise
by MrCourtney (5 out of 5 stars)
December 13, 2015

This is a great mouse pad - but not if you are using a cheap mouse. I've had it for several months and it still looks new. The occasional complaints I've seen in some reviews of it being scratched - I suggest, #1) stop pushing down so hard when moving the mouse and #2) get a better mouse.

That leads to the noise. Some of the least expensive mice come with hard *plastic* pads on the bottom. These will make a soft scraping sound when the mouse is moved. It's the function of the rough *plastic* rubbing against the mouse pad. A better (more expensive) mouse will have hard *rubber* pads and they make no noise at all. Don't blame the pad. Blame the trade off from trying to save a few bucks.

It's like buying a monitor. When you're watching or using something all day long, get the best you can afford. The difference is noticeable.

My Logitech Anywhere MX is silent on the pad. My Magic Mouse is also silent on the pad I have for my iMac. Hint: Keep the pads under the mouse clean by wiping them them occasionally. Also wipe the mouse pad.

I also have a Logitech M705 mouse that does make noise on the mouse pad. It has the hard *plastic* pads. Purchase accordingly anf you'll love this mouse pad.

Decent gaming pad

This thing keeps finding new life. I got it for a cheap pad for work because I wanted a faster surface. It worked nicely but I did notice it is susceptible to cold temperatures and will collect a dew. Never ran into anything like that before, but for the rest of the time, it was decent and everything scrolled nicely, eventually it got phased out and wife decided to try it at her work, and she loves it, her first gaming slate. Price was great, would buy this anytime until winter hits

Great durable and technically thoughtful pad!

I have not used any mouse pad for a long time but after becoming tired of the somewhat irregular response from the laser Apple mouse which is an excellent mouse, I decided to try a pad again. After doing my due mouse pad diligence, I bought this aluminum pad as it will not wear down and leave bits of worn pad inside the mouse and I do not require a wrist pad. Wrist pads can be dealt with by themselves regardless. I felt a laser mouse would do better with a hard surface. I am not disappointed at all. This pad is larger and accommodates my needs much much better. The aluminum works quite well and I am very pleased with the improvements. It is not thick at all, being a metal and the pads are thin, they do the job though, no slippage noted. I have an iMac and aluminum (my pad is silver like the Mac) is actually quite nice with it.

... one of the first things I noticed was how sturdy the mouse pad was
by Bob (4 out of 5 stars)

So I received my mouse pad today and one of the first things I noticed was how sturdy the mouse pad was. Being aluminum, this was expected however what I wasn't expecting was somewhat of a sharp edge. The edges are nicely beveled with a mirror like shine but be cautious as it did cut into my finger a little bit. I was also attempting to scrape off a bar code sticker which was unfortunately for me placed across the top - middle of the pad. In my attempts to peal it off gently and carefully as not to leave any of the sticker behind, I became defeated and realized there was no way I was getting it off without leaving a ton of paper and glue on there. So, I now have a new mouse pad with sticky film on it which prohibits the full use of space on the pad. As for the rest of the pad, my mouse works great on it, no skips. Really, it's just a mouse pad so I would give it 5 stars if they were just considerate enough not to place the bar code sticker on the top side. You would think it would have been placed on the bottom.

Really like the look & feel in general, but some issues for now...
by SkipMkoy (4 out of 5 stars)
March 13, 2016

EDIT: After receiving a laser mouse today it is working pretty well. Only gave 4 stars because it doesn't work well with my normal optical mice.

After reading many reviews I was hoping for more...

Looks & feels great as far as I'm concerned, and not sure what the other reviewers are talking about concerning the "loud sounds", "grating" noises or such - perhaps I've been using hard surfaces for so long that I don't notice.

My issue, and perhaps this is because I'm using antiquated optical/IR mice, but it just doesn't work well at all for me - I need to really move the mouse around to get any movement/detection and then it is very erratic and just not usable at all. Tell the truth I get better function using my table top. I've tried 2 Logitech M315 mice and a Logitech M305 mouse and they work equally well/as bad.

As I don't like to spend $$$ when I have equipment in good working order it was difficult for me to decide to order another mouse, but I just ordered a laser mouse. If it works well with this I'll keep the pad and update my review, but if not I'm going to return it - don't really want to because I do like the pad.

I do like the fact that it is super easy to clean (and you should this and any other as clean as possible anyway)

I like the rubber feet - the grip is strong while using the pad but it is also easy to move the pad out of the way if you need to move/slide somewhere else on your desktop. Also after a few days of light use there are scratches on the pad - not sure how this happens since it's aluminum, perhaps something gritty attached to the bottom of one of my mice while testing. Went ahead and cleaned all 3 of them just in case...

Will update when I receive the new laser mouse. If it works after this as many reviewers have stated then I will immediately order another.

Looks great, doesn't work too well.

The look of this mouse pad is what caught my attention. I wanted something modern and fancy looking for my new desk I just built, so I figured I'd give this mouse pad a try. After receiving it, I was super pleased at how fantastic it looks. It is even more stunning in person than in the photos. Although, it is not very good at being a mouse pad; there is a much higher level of friction than I was expecting, and my mouse (Logitech G9X) made quite a lot more noise while gliding over it than I've ever heard before, almost to the point of being annoying. It's about the same noise as sliding the mouse over the garage floor, and the friction level is about the same as well (this would be an epoxied garage floor to be specific).

Overall, it is not as functional as I had expected, which defeats the purpose even if it looks amazing.

Good Buy for Aesthetics
by CyberNerdz (3 out of 5 stars)
December 22, 2017

Honestly, I bought this for the aesthetics instead of shelling out 60$ for the Razer Invicta. It does a decent job for traction, but really not meant for gaming or precision. I slapped on a Razer sticker to make myself feel better though.

This mousepad has four rubber feet at the bottom and does a good job to keep it from sliding around or off the table.

Good lightweight aluminum material, but docked a few stars because there are quite a few imperfections on its surface. Leaving it smooth on most of the surface but bumpy from maybe bad paint application?

Tried to get a few photos to show the bumps but it's a lot more noticeable in person.

Great mouse pad, but makes noise that I hadn't expected.
by J HUSKEY (4 out of 5 stars)
November 19, 2015

This is a great mouse pad. I really like that it is a rigid design, not floppy. The only thing that bothered me was the noise, mostly because I hadn't thought about it or expected it. Moving the mouse around on it is noisy, but not like ear-piercing or terribly loud. In most cases that is a non-issue, but when I'm on a conference call for work using a speakerphone, especially one where I'm leading the call and sharing my desktop via WebEx, I'm concerned that the attendees can all hear the noise. Though to be fair, I've had no complaints from attendees yet. If you want to know what a Magic Mouse on this mouse pad sounds like and you have an aluminum MacBook, set the mouse on the smooth metal area to the left or right of the trackpad and move it around. The sound is almost identical. If that doesn't bother you, then you've found an awesome mouse pad here, and it looks great next to a MacBook.
