The outlets DO NOT draw from the battery
by Landon Justice (1 out of 5 stars)

So worth mentioning that this is apparently marketed as a surge protector and a power bank, but the power supply will not work with the outlets. Some credit should be given though, this charges with ease by plugging directly into an outlet and because of the two outlets on the bank itself it won't use up an outlet slot on your wall. This is the only possitive thing about it though, as it has a TINY capacity and seems hilariously ironic considering all the bulk of it's profile. Not worth your money, despite being a cool idea, it holds little power, cannot charge via its outlets, and has no other options to be charged except directly from an outlet.

Good device to have when travelling. Short lived battery pack.
by Darren K (4 out of 5 stars)

This is a good device to have when travelling, domestically or abroad. Note, when travelling abroad, you'll need an adapter to plug into different outlets.

Surge protector/2 outlets

The most handy feature give you access to two electrical outlets. You can charge your laptop or camera batter at once. It also comes with a surge protector which gives peace of mind that it'll offer more protection for your devices than plugging directly into the wall. There is a USB outlet that delivers up to 2A to charge a phone, tablet, battery pack, etc.

USB battery pack

There is an internal battery pack for charging USB devices. There is a row of 4 lights on top of the device that gives a readout on how much power is remaining in the battery. The product description states that it has a 3000mh battery but in my experience using it, I've felt the longevity and power reserve of the battery to be far below the stated 3000mh. It feels more like 1000mh. I would not feel comfortable with this as my only battery pack to power my phone through a long flight.

This comes close to being a fantastic travel accessory. It delivers surge protection for peace of mind, it gives two outlets to charge more devices, and it has a battery pack to charge USB devices. The only fault I find is the short lived battery. It comes close to replacing an outlet splitter and battery pack but because of the battery that I don't think actually has a 3000mh capacity, I'll be packing an additional battery in my bag.

PLEASE READ REVIEWS

This product is a waste. Thought it would be ok to use during hurricane Florence. Boy, was I wrong. The plug ins do not even work for portable use. So much for that when you have NO power. And it took well over 2-3 hrs just to charge my cell phone and it's not even full charged maybe up to 15% more before dying. I would have never purchased this product if I would have read the reviews first.

Great Battery Pack
by Woody Gibson (4 out of 5 stars)

I originally bought this because I thought I could use it as an AC battery pack. Obviously, that would require a 110V inverter. This device functions as a 3-prong splitter and surge protector while plugged in, and provides 5V DC thru a USB port while on the go. It was silly of me to think that I would be able to plug a 3-prong in on the go; batteries only give DC. If that's what ur looking for, the only AC battery pack I know is called the Walking Wall Outlet and will cost u the better half of a grand. As a DC battery, this product is reliable and hasn't crapped out on me yet like some other battery packs I've had in the past.

Only lasts a few months
by doug k (1 out of 5 stars)

***update. Only 4 months and the battery pack failed. The lights just flash and provides no power to the USB. No support from Belkin, they just keep asking for more information, even though they have already been provided the information they are asking for. Not sure if the surge is working or not as that light blinks the same time as the battery pack lights, but I would guess not, no indication there was a power failure anytime near when the devise failed.Do not buy this product*****

I bought this with the propose to be if my power went out my phone would continue to charge while I was sleeping. It also provides surge protection to my table lamp and adjustable bed so I only had to buy 1 devise instead of 2. It will not power them in a power outage, but if I'm sleeping I dont need them and have an UPS/batteries/inverters if needed.
THIS IS NOT AN AC UPS IT WILL ONLY POWER USB DEVICES.

It does not fast charge my phone (Samsung S7), but since I use this for charging while I am sleeping that is not a deal breaker, but would have been nice. The only time so far I have had to use it my phone was not fully charged when I woke up, it was over 80% so I would call it a success. Once i woke up I immediately placed it in my car to finish charging as I prepared to go to work. Also is nice that I can unplug it and use it as a battery pack.

Wish it had a larger battery capacity and would fast charge my phone, but it does the job as advertised for about 1/4 the price of a UPS.

Great Travel Surge Protector and USB Power Bank
by Hyperiox (4 out of 5 stars)
April 19, 2018

This is a surge protector with a built in battery for the USB port only. I have mine plugged into my car's inverter to provide surge-protected AC power to items plugged into it while the car is on, and to unplug and use as a phone charger when I need it away from the car. It works great to have in the car in case I need to bring in a phone charger and surge protector (for a laptop) to a hotel or other place I am staying.

It is a bit big though. For it's size, I would have expected much more battery capacity, or a smarter charging circuit. Either way, I would buy again, as this for factor works very well for my intended purpose.

UPDATED: NOT COMPATIBLE W USB CONVERTERS and Check Your Outlet Setup vs 3-prong Plug
by Jet Jona (3 out of 5 stars)
November 25, 2018

UPDATE: I wanted to use another AC/USB converter in one of the AC outlets - it doesn't pass through power to be recognized by my iPad. (Yes - the USB converter works fine when plugged into several wall outlets).

They did not provide a photo with the plug extended, but when "right side up", the 3rd prong (grounding plug) is on the underside/bottom of the unit's plug. This means if your wall outlet has the 3rd/round opening at the top, you will be installing this upside down - and it will either block the "other" usable plug in the outlet, or be "upside down" and position the USB port on the bottom (hard to access), or both.

Serves it's purpose.

Compact Surge Protector. Slow charge from USB with my Galaxy S9+ (it makes no difference if its plugged in while charging or relying solely on its rechargeable battery. This however may not be the fault of the charger, as Samsung has become very picky with its charge sources, cables, etc. These mobile devices sometimes fail to do a fast charge even with the stock charger and cable...

I'm giving this device 5-stars, as it accomplishes what the description said.

Great charger, I wish the AC plugs would work ...
by Calvin V. Le (4 out of 5 stars)

Great charger, I wish the AC plugs would work on battery though, but it's understandable that the mAh capacity wouldn't be large enough for AC power.
