Very pleased with this item.

Easy to assemble, nice information kit included. The quality seems very good, it is very sturdy and well constructed.

Most important, it worked extremely well. We shucked a bushel of gulf oysters (about 100) in 30 minutes or so.

The torque is so strong that the shell does splinter so you do have to be careful to remove the shell bits but still that extra step is way less time consuming than hand shucking.

Whay can I say? Awesome product! Ever shucked a dozen oysters at home? You'll gladly pay the $3-4 per shucked oyster at the raw bar! With this device, shucking oysters is a dream. You still need an oyster knife to finish them off, but the tough part - popping that joint - is handled like butter with this guy. Huge thumbs up!

Great product well made, works great. You'll still have to use an oyster knife to separate the shell and oyster from the shell but this tool is key to getting open every shell with ease. Excellent tool, and a must have for anyone that loves their oysters

I absolutely love this tool. I am shucking dozens of oysters in half the time and with half the effort. It is very well made. All stainless construction and it is solid. Anyone who shucks oysters knows they are shaped differently. Sometimes you have to turn the oyster to get to the best spot to open it. No Surpirse there! If you get this and do not like it, you don't know how to shuck oysters. I invited my buddy over to have some oysters and he ordered one for himself.

Now that I have it, I can't live without it. If I were the manufacturer of this product, I would put a sharper, more pointy wedge on the part that enters the oyster. Our oysters are live and right out of the water and into the jack so they are tough to get open. This make it so much easier. Also, I arrived without any nuts to hold the metal piece to the composite-like-trex-decking board, but those were 5 cents. I am going to buy a couple of more of these as we serve oysters and it just really makes it a lot better for us in terms of quantity. It doesn't completely shuck the oyster, it merely opens it so that it is easy to do so. Perfect except for the above and unimportant mentioned items. I WOULD DEFINITELY SUGGEST ATTACHING THIS TO A STURDY TABLE OR BIG BOARD SO THAT IT IS REMOVABLE WHEN YOU WANT TO REMOVE IT, BUT SECURES TO THE STRUCTURE WHILE USING THE APPARATUS.

Used it for first time today. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. Wow!! Don't hit it with a sharp hit from your hand. Put the handle grip against your leg and use this leverage to open the oysters. Heavy duty and well made. Should last years. I'll be enjoying a lot more oysters. This is game changer. So very happy I bought it. I would totally ignore any negative comments you might read. Some people can't walk and chew gum at the same time

Had it for 3 months. Works like new, and it seems like it will work for a long time. The oyster jack is for my dad, and he cracks the oysters every other week. American made quality.

This was a great gift for my husband. It breaks open the shell on the oyster just enough so you don't loose all the juice and than all you need to do is open it the rest of the way with an oyster knife. What use to take a half hour to open 6 oysters no only takes 10 minutes. No more cutting his hand or stabbing his hand and I get to have oysters when ever I want. Great buy!!!

This product was missing the white plastic oster holder when it arrived. Now I can't get a hold of anybody to get a replacement. Chuck Tesh 530 544- 6100
