Works well but could definitely be improved on

Hiding your key in a sprinkler is a great idea. I love how durable this is and how well it keeps water out. There are a few issues I have with the product. Firstly, it is farely obvious that this isn't a sprinkler because it says "sprinkler head". It would look a lot better if there could be a brand name on it to look more like other sprinklers. Another problem I ran into was how easy it was to pull out of the ground. When trying to twist the cap, it just moves in place which can be a problem. Whenever the gardener comes, the sprinkler comes out of the ground when it is run over with the lawn mower. If you put this somewhere out of the way it should work fine.

Good Idea

Seems like a good idea to hide a key. Looks like a sprinkler head except for the sharp end to stick in the ground which I believe is unnecessary. I put my key in a small plastic sandwich bag to protect it and so it won't rattle around inside. Screwed off the top and placed the key inside. Put it in a flowerbed with a hand shovel and covered it with mulch and dirt. Only I know where it is. To improve this design I'd rather have a flat end instead of a sharp end so it will look more like a sprinkler head that has broken off in case someone accidentally finds it. Easy to retrieve by grabbing the end of the sandwich bag. As stated above instead of placing it above ground make it look like a broken off sprinkler head and cover it up so only you know where's it's at. Mine's in a corner out of the way.

Great key hider, make sure your gardener doesn't throw it out because he thinks it's a broken sprink

This is a great key/cash/whatever hider if you have a yard, preferably with real sprinklers. I had one previously that went missing and I'm pretty sure the gardener through it away because he thought it was a broken sprinkler head! So I got a replacement and this time I'm hiding it in the yard somewhere where the gardener won't be doing any work, so hopefully doesn't get discarded again. Anyway, great for having an extra key in case you get locked out of the house or lose your regular keys.

Awesome concept!

This is awesome, looks just like a sprinkler head. I recommend highly for those who have kids that seem to always forget their keys. My only complaint is that I am noticing that the top allows water to get in so I will probably have to replace the key eventually.

Great buy

The Sprinkler key hider is great. What I like about it is that it looks more real than the others I saw on Amazon (has a white circle on the top like real sprinklers-matches my real ones) and it's easy to use (has a spike at the end so it easily pushes into the ground). It fit my key and a key holder (note that my holder is small) no problem and the top screws on tight so no leaking. Living in FL, I get a lot of rain.

Excellent, well designed and constructed. A must-have for hiding emergency keys!

Excellent product. We had a torrential downpour of rain the day after I installed it. Curious, I removed it and opened it, wondering if it would be full of water, and to my surprise, it was perfectly dry inside. It looks exactly like a sprinkler head and the emergency entry keys to my gates are perfectly hidden right in plain sight. Shipped immediately and arrived right on time. I highly recommend this product.

It works and its well made

I will probably get another one because I liked it so much. It is easy to hide under plant bushes. It has a screw on lid, simliar to a jar. These is enough of "stake" to push it into the earth nicely but also easy to pluck out if I wished to move it else where.

Looks like the real deal

This is one of those items everyone should own and have at their house. Looks real. I had one of those rocks, they look fake and stand out too much. The one I had, I had to hide by a tree. This sprinkler head is right out in the open. Spend a little ore and get this one with a point at the end, easy to put in the ground.

Hidden in plain sight

This is such a great idea. It doesn't look exactly like my real sprinkler heads, but since it's not placed beside one, it looks fine. I wrapped my key in a small ziplock bag before putting it inside, just in case.

Great Hide a Key!
by ATX Girl (5 out of 5 stars)

Looks just like a sprinkler head and works great to store keys in. We bought a lock that locked our gates from both sides and needed a way to hide the key for the meter reader. Works great! Super easy to install to just push it in the ground. It has a spike in the bottom so installation was a breeze.
