Didn't work for me at all.by Dave C. (1 out of 5 stars)

Did not work for me. I was trying to save a wool sweater. Followed the instructions to the letter. It did unshink about 10% of what it needed to.
Also, the "four garments" is at the same time not on separate occasions, so this is a single use bottle.
Amazing Product worth every penny! :)

Amazing product!! I wish I had taken a before and after! Worked like a charm on a irish wool sweater I have had in the closet for 2 years! To anyone who is looking to buy this and wonder if it works...IT DOES!! **as you are waiting for it to dry the sweater will smell like a perm out of a grocery store box lol but understand that once it dries fully IT SMELLS FRESH AND NEW! I will without a doubt be going through my closet and finding more sweaters to unshrinkit!! Thanks!
While the sweaters still fit they were more snug than I liked. After using UNSHRINKIT

I first heard of this product on a local news broadcast . ( BOSTON CH 7). I used this product the other day on 3 sweaters that shrunk with past handwashing. While the sweaters still fit they were more snug than I liked. After using UNSHRINKIT, all 3 sweaters had that more relaxed look that they had previously. Would definitely use this again and will certainly recommend this product to others.
Worked on Everything it was Suppose to Work on

I bought this for several shirts that have shrunk over time. A few of the things I tried it on were blended fabrics (some percentage wasn't the type of material this product works on) so I wasn't sure it would work but I took a chance. I was pleased to find that anything made 100% of materials they advertise it will work on it did! You're instructed to use the whole bottle, but I decided to only use half so that I could try to use it again and it still worked at that lower concentration. I was sad to find that after washing one of the pieces again it shrunk, but that clearly is on me.
Did a very good job at producing realistic results.

I used this product on three different sweaters. Of the first two, one was light weight and the other was a heavy weight with an open knit. Both had been slightly over laundered and had lost elasticity and drape. Unshrinkit restored both to nearly original condition. The stretching step following the rinse appears to be important, as a couple areas (the hood and collar) which I did not fully stretch, still made the dreaded crinkling noise upon drying but felt quite a bit better after they were steamed.
The third sweater was a Hail Mary attempt at restoring a very tightly knit, heavy, draped cardigan which had been over spun in the wash and was both shrunken and lightly felted. While it did not magically revert to new condition, it is showing signs of life. Like the other two sweaters, this product did seem to relax the fibers, allowing for restored softness and drape. Although it's not quite there yet, the results were promising enough that I am considering doing a second treatment.
I should note that I had attempted stretching and steam blocking all three items prior to treatment with Unshrinkit and had poor results, so it clearly has some effect on relaxing wool fibers.
My biggest complaint, like others, is the strong chemical smell. However, I do appreciate that the manufacturer did not compound the problem by adding any strong fragrance in an attempt to mask it. It has already dissipated quite a bit on the dried garments and I plan to hang them outdoors.
My final assessment is that this product cannot perform miracles but works very well in realistic situations. I would purchase again.
It works...a little

Bottom line up front- it does work, just don't expect it to be back to its original state. I would recommend it you have an expensive item that is just barely too small.
I was skeptical, but saw it in shark tank so decided to give it a try on my $400 throwback jersey that is 100% wool that I accidentally shrunk.
The smell- the product itself had a faint fresh fragrance. Obviously when soaked and wrung out the jersey smelled like, well, wet wool. Which is an awful smell, but not the fault of the product. That's how wet wool smells. After letting the jersey dry for two days there was no smell at all of neither the product or the wool jersey.
Using the product- Soaking and wringing out were fine and easy. If you have a bucket it would be better than the sink as the sink was almost too small. The stretching back to shape was difficult. I worked up a sweat pulling in all directions. I waited a day and it still wasn't dry so I stretched it again. Maybe it being 100% wool made it more difficult than if it had been a sweater material or blend.
The results- You can see in the first pic the initial shrunken state of the cream home jersey compared to the identical brand, size and material blue away jersey. Photo two is the initial stretched state. The jersey definitely stretched back width wise in the body, the sleeves hardly changed, and the length not quite back to original size, but still better. I could feel the difference when trying to stretch it back and the fibers just wouldn't loosen length wise. Picture 3 is a week later. It can be noted that the jersey has gone back slightly towards the shrunken state so now it is between the initial shrunken state and the initial stretched state.

It totally worked!!!!!!!!! I've had a favorite wool sweater for 25 years and I mistakenly washed It in warm water with the rest of the laundry. I was literally heartbroken. I put it away in the closet knowing I would never wear it again. I was watching SHARK TANK and saw this product and grabbed my tablet and ordered it. I am THRILLED to say that it totally worked. It is also the softest it has ever been. I am so happy with this product!!!!!! Just be aware that the solution doesnt smell good while the garment is drying but BELIEVE me that once the garment is dry there is absolutely no yucky smell. I ever put my nose into the sweater and there was nothing but a soft clean smell.
Unshrinkit Stinks!

I Unshrinkit on Amazon.com for $11.99. I followed the instructions on the bottle to un-shrink a wool hat I had bought in Iceland. The hat's circumference stretched but the it did not unshrink vertically. During the stretching process the wool fibers broke leaving several holes in the hat. The hat now has a terrible odor that will not wash out. The hat is worse than when I started. The bottle claims Unshrinkit, Inc. offers customers "Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. If you are not completely satisfied, go to unshrinkit.com/guarantee, or call (888) 978-5510." The link produces an error message and the telephone number takes you to a voice mailbox. I emailed the company and will wait. I want a refund of my $11.99
I unshrunk an Aran Isle sweater that was fairly chunky and it sucked up all the water

The stuff smells horrible--like perm solution (which makes sense). Make sure to let the item dry in a well-ventilated area or close it in a room otherwise your whole house will stink. It says 3-4 items can be unshrunk with one bottle, but they'd have to be scarves or smaller/thinner items. I unshrunk an Aran Isle sweater that was fairly chunky and it sucked up all the water. The thing you have to know is that the garment will continue to smell horrid until completely dry. Don't let that freak you out. When fully dry it really will smell like linen. There is some kind of wizardry involved. I started out skeptical but ended up a fan. My sweater was able to stretch back to close to normal size (80% of original) and could have been stretched more if I was willing to pull on it more. Texture was restored too. Just know that you have to put some work into it and the process of stretching/drying took about 4 days due to the thickness of my sweater.
Works, but leaves the sweater with a strong, unpleasant odor.

Our review for this product is mixed. The main reason is this: It did seem to work, meaning it "unshrunk" the sweater, however, it left the sweater smelling so horrible that it can't be worn, anyway.
When following the directions, this bottle was enough product for one large, oversized sweater. During the process, the smell was so strong and overwhelming, all windows in the house had to be opened, and no one could be inside for a few hours, at least on the first floor of the house where the laundry room is.
The results as far as unshrinking seem to be good ones. Its hard to tell for sure, because this sweater simply cannot be worn- it smells that bad. The sweater was placed outside in the fresh air for several days in a row, and the smell, which is a strong chemical smell, similar to burnt hair, did not diminish. Finally, it was sprayed with Fabreeze and other odor eliminators, and still no change. So, unfortunately, the sweater just can't be worn, and must be retired.
So here's the dilemma: The product did, in fact, live up to it's promise to unshrink the sweater. However, if it smells so bad that it can't be worn again, what's the point? I'm sure that there are people out there who won't be bothered by the smell, as everyone is different. But there are definitely people out there who, like us, will have a major issue with the odor, and unfortunately, the odor will be a dealbreaker.
We are very impressed with the shrinkage results, and if they are ever able to eliminate the odor that goes along with the chemical process, this product will be extraordinary. We have a lot of respect for the people who came up with this product, and truly hope that this issue will someday be resolved. And when it is, we will definitely be loyal customers.
