Work great.

Work great. I got these to help with some damp shoes at the office. Living in Portland, Oregon it is wear waterproof boots or deal with some dampness at the other end. Luckily most of my walks are less than more rain and I rarely have a problem with chilled feet at the office due to damp socks and shoes. I can change the socks but the shoes take longer. These are a good deal pricewise as well as convenient. I don't have to fuss with settings or watch for smoking shoes. They do the job and require little TLC. And I get warm and dry shoes at the end.

Worked Great Until it Died

I got these for my husband's works boots, as he works in the water department for the city. Although his boots are waterproof, there are still numerous times when water gets in over the top, and then he needs his boots dried by the next morning. These did the job perfectly, until 3 months later and one of them stopped working! I tried to find a place to contact the company on Amazon, but could not find it. If they would replace the product, I am sure I just got a defective product. It WAS working great, but if it can't last longer than 3 months, that is just poor quality.

I purchased these to warm my ski boots before hitting the slopes and to dry out my ski boot liners. They work perfectly and I would definitely recommend them. They warm up to a temperature that is very warm, not too hot to touch but definitely uncomfortable to hold in your hand for more than a few seconds. I am not worried that these will get hot enough to start a fire or damage my ski boot liners. My ski boot liners are usually pretty damp after a day of skiing and these boot dryers will dry them out in 2-3 hours. I would expect a completely soaked boot or shoe to be dry in about 8-12 hours depending on the materials. I will have to test them out once the weather gets warmer and I go on a rainy day run or bike ride. I would recommend these to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and definitely to any skiers looking for a boot dryer/warmer.

Note: I purchased a womens size 5-9 and I am a mens size 10.5 These will fit in my wife's shoes which is a plus, and they are easy to insert and remove from my ski boots. The mens size would probably dry my shoes faster since they are larger.

Childrens Size is the BEST!
by Amazon Customer (5 out of 5 stars)

Childrens size is excellent snow shoe / glove warmer/dryer. Price is very reasonable. However, the mens size are big (fits 7+mens) ,if the mens shoe is 8 buy the women's. It will be very tight going in/out of a mens shoe size 8. Womens size (fits 5+womens), tried in a 6 it is tight when shoved in. The children's size is PEFECT for everyone. Just by the children's size for men/women/kids and it will fit all shoes and gloves. The childrens size is this model is the same size as the regular dry guy brand (orange color), but this is cheaper. Buy the children's size and you can never go wrong no matter the shoe/glove.

It really works!

It really works! Bought this to dry out my daughter's soccer shoes, and after the first use, I knew this product was a keeper! I put them the dryer in the shoes, plugged it in, and walked away. The next morning the shoes were completely dry! The unit was quiet and emitted a soft blue light when it was on.

For shoes that are soaking wet, I advise stuffing them first with dry newspaper and leaving for about an hour to absorb the excess water... THEN remove the paper before using the shoe dryer overnight. I noticed a BIG improvement on the shoe odor, too! The unit is small enough to pack away for travel, too. Give this product a try!

I love this thing!!
by Anna (5 out of 5 stars)

I used to throw away my sons shoes every two months because they would start stinking and nothing ever helped. I tried removable washable insoles, tried washing the shoes, tried buying shoes with antimicrobial inside, tried buying antimicrobial socks... Nothing helped! Until I got this thing. With this thing, his shoes stink every evening and smell perfectly fine in the morning. I also used it on my toddlers shoes when she got them wet. It didn't fit inside but still did the work. I used it also in my shoes and my husband shoes and even to dry a chair when my little one spilled water all over it. I love (!!!) this thing. It's great!

Working for us. Buy the smaller size.
by John Arthur Lee (fiction writer) (4 out of 5 stars)

So far, so good. Working as advertised. And I agree with the other reviewers who recommended buying the children's size--you'll appreciate the extra space, unless you have really large shoes and room to turn that first corner inside your shoes / boots.

I do wish that the strain reliefs on the power cord connections were more reinforced, but if you're careful and you don't stress the cords too much when putting the dryers in and taking them out (another reason to buy the smaller size units) you should be fine.

Warmer dried my boots but may have also degraded the cushion
by Sarah (2 out of 5 stars)
August 9, 2017

So I bought these about a year ago. I used them to dry my hiking boots one time. My boots were REALLY wet and so I left the warmers in my boot for 24 hours. The warmers dried out my boot BUT soon after the cushion in my boot started breaking down. The cushion in the boot broke into pieces. I have actually had about 5 pairs of those hiking boots (I have been using them for the last 5ish years) and never had an issue so I don't think it is a problem with the boot. I cannot for sure say the warmer caused my boot cushion to break down but I don't plan to try the warmers again for fear of the same problem.

this is not recommended. It works well enough to dry my shoes
by IceCreamFiend,Top Contributor: Watches (4 out of 5 stars)

When I first saw this, I thought the heaters were going to be WAY too tiny, float around in my (in my mind) clown shoes, and fail to do anything. Turns out that they barely fit in my shoes, though the problem is mostly length. If you wear anything smaller than a women's size six, this is not recommended. It works well enough to dry my shoes, but it's not nearly as convenient as some of the stands available. It would be nice if it had an off switch, too.

Nice warmers / dryers.

These dry my ski boots out fairly quickly after a morning on the slopes (in wet Pennsylvania snow). They take a little longer to dry my running shoes after a morning run in the dew or if it's raining. They work nicely to warm the boots or shoes before heading out.
