  • Shows you how to make traditional drinks that have been around for hundreds of years-Cocktail, Sour, Fizz, Smash, Punch, Flip, Swizzle, and Rickey-and then craft your own interpretations. Did you know that a Margarita and a Lemon Drop are Sours and a Mint Julep is a Smash?
  • Instruction booklet shows you exactly which dice to roll to make specific types of traditional drinks, what ratios of ingredients to use, and general mixing tips
  • Dice are numbered to make following the instructions easy, even if you're on your third drink
  • If you're already a pro, roll all the dice at once for seemingly endless inspiration. There are over 1.5 million combinations.

Too many wacky ingredients
by SMagee (2 out of 5 stars)

I love the concept of it - roll some dice and make a drink or a shooter with the results. However, the implementation isn't quite up to par. The dice have some of your favorite staple liqueurs such as rum, vodka, gin, whisky, etc. But that's where the familiarity ends. The dice contain wild and wacky things like kumquat juice, five different flavors of bitters (I'm lucky that I can actually find 3 of them at a very high end specialty liquor shop nearby), grapefruit juice, maple syrup, sugar cubes, etc. I don't think I've ever seen a retailer sell kumquat juice here in Michigan.

The instructions seem a little more complicated than it should be - roll these 2 dice for this kind of drink. Roll these 3 dice for this kind of drink. Except, there's about 10 rows for "possible drink types" listed. None of the dice are color coated for ease of use.

If you were to try and use these dice as intended, and you already have the staple liqueurs at home, you'll still have to spend nearly a hundred bucks or more on mixers and specialty items to get everything you need. It's just not worth it.

Very unique, well-made, and fun!

I have bought Mixology Dice twice now, both times to give as presents to friends who take pride in their knowledge of all things alcohol-related, and they both loved them! My friends both have little personal bar areas in their homes, and I think that this is the perfect addition. They're fun and super creative and they are also well-made and very traditional-looking. Great quality. There's nothing else like these out there, and my friends loved how unique they were. I love giving these as gifts and I would absolutely recommend to anyone wishing to impress their friends with a great present - or anyone who wants to make their own personal bar a little more fun!

Very Cool Idea

I bought these as a Christmas exchange gift. I added several of the ingredients on the dice. My nephew, who is always interested in making interesting cocktails, picked it and it was perfect for him. Highly recommended as a unique and interesting gift. I think I'll get the Foodie dice for my sister who is an adventurous cook.

The only thing I would recommend is to buy the tumbler--I know

I haven't used these yet (I'm giving them as a gift to my partner, who LOVES to make cocktails), but I went through them out of curiosity and I'm so excited to try them out! Lots of combinations, and so many things I would never think of on my own. The only thing I would recommend is to buy the tumbler--I know, I know, it's more expensive, but the bag just doesn't look as polished. Whichever you choose, these are sure to be a hit.

I bought these as a gift for the BF. Haven't actually tried anything of the combos yet, but have gotten some really cool combinations to write down. Easy to use, regular size dice. Would recommend to anyone who has an interest in mixing.

These are cool and should give our best friend some crazy ideas. The dice themselves are made of wood and are beautiful. Wood buy again!

My daughter got her first apartment with her friends, so I thought it would be a fun gift to use when they have people over. I'm still waiting to be invited over so we can try them out!!!

Size is appropriate for the product (dice)

People complain about the size, but they're dice. They're supposed to all fit in your palm. Definitely a great gift.

Very Small, Not worth the money.
by Mary Dennis (1 out of 5 stars)

The dice are about 3/4" each...hard to read and definitely not worth the money. There should be a disclaimer on this photo that states the dice appear larger than they are.
