Kids Logic 1/20 Magnetic Floating DeLorean Time Machine "Back To The Future Part II" Action Figure This is an amazing model! The attention to detail is fantastic. After reading the directions, I was able to balance the DeLorean on the magnetic base in about 30 seconds. If you do not use the included helper tool to balance the DeLorean, you have to hold it with two hands and carefully hold it centered and level above the base. The base also must be plugged in with the included AC adapter. As you hold the DeLorean above the base, you will feel the magnetic pull in all directions. Hold it carefully because the DeLorean can pull down pretty fast and hit the base. Once it is balanced centered and level, the base will light up. Once the light remains on steady, the DeLorean is balanced and you can let go. The magnetic forces will slowly turn the DeLorean. Tap the on/off switch above the Back to the Future Part II logo and the lights on the DeLorean will illuminate. It is the coolest collector's item for the Back to the Future fan. It is not for kids. If not handled carefully, you can break it. It also includes a fixed base for when the DeLorean is not levitating, and the DeLorean can be illuminated on that base too. Once you figure out that sweet spot for balancing the DeLorean on the magnetic base, it is pretty easy to do. Highly recommended. (In the video, I do not have the doors closed all the way. The doors can be fully open or closed on the magnetic base).

A quick review to hit on what others have said, both elsewhere and here:

This is an amazing item and perfect for any Back to the Future fan. Absolutely gorgeous. The little hoverboard and Grays Sports Almanac are the icing on the cake.

It can be a bit difficult at first to get the DeLorean balanced on the magnetic stand, and if you're not careful you can damage the base (it hits the base pretty hard if it's not removed/balanced properly). It doesn't take long to get the feel of finding the right balance point, and the base lights up to indicate when it's balanced correctly, just be careful. If the base is damaged, it won't float..and that is the main reason to get this, after all.

If I could, I'd deduct a half star for the balance difficult/potential base damage issue..but being as that I can't, 5 stars it is. The overall quality of the DeLorean (both inside and out) as well as the many accessories make this an absolute perfect BTTF item. I only wish it wasn't as tricky getting it balanced properly.

Got this for my brother. We are both 80"s kids. He LOVED it. He is also a Ratheon Grafic artist and put it on his VERY cool desk full of everything we grew up with. Be patient, the magnets take a little practice and the challenge is WELL worth it. 5 out of 5. I must say, a bit expensive but ya get what ya pay for. BTY, it comes with a little hover board and an Almanac. SOOO cool.

Looks amazing.

My initial concerns was having it to float since there were a lot of customer reviews out there who had problems or difficulty getting it to float. I was successful using the placement tool and doing it free hand.

Recommended for those who are BTTF fans!

This is a great collection addition to my 83 Delorean and other items. The build quality and details are of a high standard. Yes it take a steady hand or the tool that is shipped in the box to get the perfect balance to levitate, but give it 1 minute and its balanced. Its all lit up and slowly rotating as I write this, and everyone is amazed that its just floating.

The levitation feature only works with electricity, must be plugged. perfect reproduction of Back to the Future 2 De Lorean. Ligths are very cool . Be careful when handle, parts are very delicate.

The details on this are amazing but you well have problems trying to levitate and keep balance and it well not work I've search online and i'm not the only one with this problem; just recently I was able to get it to work. I no longer wanted to see it on the regular stand and it took me a half hour get it balance
