I have used these boxes for decoration around my home for years with great pleasure. These boxes are very lovely, well worth getting at this price. Be aware that this is a novelty item, not meant to hold anything with weight, or be used outside. The battery life is short, but the good news is that the batteries are easily replaced. The boxes have thin, sparkly walls, that allow the light to show through very nicely. The light changes color slowly, going through a variety of color changes, and makes the boxes shimmer and glitter in a very beautiful manner. The boxes are very flimsy however, and you must handle them with care. I would never give one to a child. To change the batteries, you must unscrew and open the small panel on the bottom. Since you cannot put much pressure on the bottom wall of the box, I usually cut out the "light" fixture, which is a small insert in the bottom of the box, and then just replace it with a tiny piece of tape to hold it in place. That makes it easier to replace the batteries without damaging the boxes. The boxes are very beautiful and make wonderful decorations under your tree, on shelves or tables and are ideal in areas that might be just a little dark. They add a bit of magic to your holiday decorations.

We ordered 6 dozen to use for holding gift cards for our company Christmas party. There is an internal shelf that sits above the light housing about a half-inch up. I hot-clued little plastic card holders (also purchased from Amazon/Morrison Games) too this shelf to hold up the gift cards so the light wouldn't be completely covered up. The box size is perfect for this application but the 3.5" x 3.5" x 2.25" tall opening inside might not be suitable for larger items. They are somewhat fragile so handle with care. We had a handful arrive damaged, but Brett with their Customer Service was quick to help and responded with replacements (and a few extras) a couple of days later. Most of the boxes stayed lit for 6+ hours but people may have turned their box off earlier. They aren't too bright, but they were perfect for our dimmed lit ballroom. Everyone seemed to like the added touch for the gift cards and they took them home to use as decorations or gift card holders again.

I was so pleased...and they were delivered on a holiday! They are really pretty, but I plan on embellishing them with different ribbons and a little more decoration for the holidays. Super to give small gifts in too. I thought they were a bit pricey..but after I received them I am so glad that I bought them.

Flimsy with short battery life.

Not a quality product. Extremely flimsy and much smaller than the picture indicates. Battery life is very short and replacement batteries are expensive. Do not recommend.

Half of box's battery compartments had fallen off when i opened package. Not a big deal to re-glue, just get what you pay for.
Seller, Glow City, quick shipper. I don't blame seller, bought these by the case, seller had no reason to open case. Have bought other items from Glow City and were great.

they are great when the lights are off, otherwise almost impossible to see the lights (and I'm talking about normal lighting if you want the light show which is pretty, the should be the only lights) also very flimsy plastic,
