I live in Missouri so it gets pretty cold, but not like Alaska cold. It's not too bad but it's also not so great. I use this heater on leather seats and it inches it's way down and doesn't really stay put. So there's a lot of adjusting after getting in. If I'm on a long trip or I preheat the seat 30 minutes before I get in the car it works just fine. But if I don't preheat it, i get to my destination right when it warms up. When next winter rolls around, I'll be looking for a better seat warmer. I'll keep this one for a back up.

Since no one left a written review for the gray 3-setting heated seat cushion - figured I'd put something down. First of all, it's well padded. I'm actually using this in a Focus ST (ST2... should have opted for the heated seats.. but alas) and it fits very well between the highly bolstered Recaro seats. Low is nice, medium is perfect for cold winter days, and high... should be used sparingly. Not in a bad way. It's just SUPER toasty. Much like real heated seats - you'd only use it to warm things up initially. The material the cushion is made of is quality. The cord and remote are thick and well built. I do like that the remote also gives you 3 time settings, though I still unplug the seat directly after use to avoid any potential battery drain. My only gripe would be minor and it's the thickness of the straps used to secure. But - I was able to fit it in place without much hassle so I can't detract a star. They weren't consistent on the build quality of the rest of the cushion; that's my only area for improvement.

Worked for 2 weeks every day. Then the next two weeks off and on. Now weeks in....NOTHING.

Do not buy!

BUT I heard from them and they sent me a new one. It has worked for a month. The plug in system is different. It also stops when I stop the car. Wonderful. They fixed it!! I had only one electrical wire. The last one had 3 different systems before plug in.

The cushion just take 3 min to get warm, it is comfortable in winter. And the timer is a good design which help me not need to worry about the cushion exhausts my battery that much.

Researched all the seat warmer options on her and decided on this one based on reviews, features, etc. Got this for my dad for Christmas as his old car does not have heated seats and he freezes in the morning. He called me just to tell me how great it was and how much of a difference it makes.

One thing to note - it seems this only heats up when you are sitting on it, there must be some kind of sensor as a safety check. He plugged it in to get it warm before he started driving but it didn't actually start warming up until he was sitting on it.

Great product - not nearly as good as the in-built ones but it does the trick and is much better than nothing! Would definitely recommend.

this unit doesn't replace the oem heated seats. it gets got over a bout a 20 min period and then shuts off as I'm getting to like the heat, about 30 mins. then takes a while to heat up again. i'm trying another brand now

Great Cushion! Bought this last week and it works PREFECT! Once I get on the car it only takes about 3-5 mins to heat to a good temperature,which feels so good when I'm driving. Also thanks for that little timer with the product, I'm lazy, I usually drive to my company about 20 minutes, so the cushion automatically shut down when I left, which is convenient for me. Since the weather gets colder, gonna buy two more for my parents as christmas gifts.

This unit works great and as intended. The unit heats up quickly. I removed the 30 minute timer module but would recommend using if you forget to unplug the unit when not used as it will drain the battery quickly when the car isn't running.

A great addition for my work vehicle with very cold seats in the WI winters.

I would buy this item again. My last unit was replaced with this one. It lasted about two years which is longer than I expected for $13 at a local store. Hopefully this one last a bit longer but for the warmth factor it is money well spent to not have cold seats. The fabric is durable as well and fits great on the seat with enough straps to keep it in place.

If you like warm seats in the winter this is the unit to buy. Most of the time I have to switch the unit to low as it gets very warm quickly.

This works just like a regular heating pad, but for my seat in the car. I broke my hip two years ago at the ripe old age of 37. I have lingering soft tissue problems and chronic pain all the way down my right leg. Driving is the most painful thing I do. Heated seats really help. I got one of these for my car and it is incredible how much it helps. The price was great, too!

Even on the green LED it's warm, the red is so warm, it's just for the first 5 minutes max., then need to turn down to green. It replaces our defective car heater right now. Does not warm the car, but keeps back and upper thighs warm enough. Have to say though, our Florida winters are not Alaska cold. Haven't seen snow in years for some reason.
