Product Description

The Dark Lords of the Sith usually hide in the shadows, but when they emerge they set great value upon a menacing appearance. The design and inspiration for this coat were drawn from characters who embraced the Dark Side of the Force and lived by its code. This parka features a modern asymmetric design and comes with lots of details creating a unique and stylish look. The Pin-tuck elements on the sleeve and the hood add a futuristic appeal. The asymmetric flap on the front can be closed to hide the front zip. The satin lining comes with a high quality print. It features a red lining with an imperial insignia print. Both editions of this coat carry the interchangeable badge system. Two imperial design silicon-badges are included with every coat. Each Star Wars jacket has a unique serialized number, which makes every piece a unique collectible.

The Force is Strong with this One
by Trace Evidence (4 out of 5 stars)

I ordered this jacket with some hesitance, however, I was presently surprised. The jacket fits perfectly for me (I purchased a "Medium" and I am 5'6" and 141lbs.) The material feels somewhat lightweight, but is surprisingly warm. I don't know that I would choose this jacket for a blizzard, but it wasn't necessarily purchased for its warmth.

In terms of design and look, it is very stylish and definitely evokes a sense of "Star Wars" although it isn't blatantly overwhelming. I don't have people yelling "Star Wars" or anything at me, though many people have complimented me on the unique look of the jacket. The jacket zips up to the chin and then the outer portion of the jacket folds over. There are three metal clasps that can be used to hold the jacket shut as pictured, or you can clasp it all the way up to your chin.

On the negative: the picture is slightly deceptive in that it shows the jacket zipped up over the mouth, resting just under the model's nose. I don't find this to be the case. If I tuck my chin against my chest, the jacket barely covers my lips and doesn't touch my nose. In addition, the straps for the hood hang down to my waist and when it is windy they can blow all over the place which is somewhat annoying, although this may be more about my personality than others. This jacket comes with two rubber patch-like attachments that have metal button clasps that snap onto the chest of the jacket. This is a nice feature, although I wish you had the ability to not wear the patch and not have to have three metal snaps showing. In addition, the second rubber patch I received is damaged (one of the metal clasps is severally warped and cannot be snapped into place.)

All in all this is a really nice jacket. The red liner with the First Order emblem is very eye catching and you can catch glimpses of it when I am walking. I love the style, the look and the feel. Its very comfortable and it has certainly drawn some attention from people I am passing in the street. It doesn't scream out, it doesn't make me look like a cosplayer, but it definitely carries that "Star Wars" vibe.

If this is in your budget, I'd totally recommend it but bare in mind this jacket is more for look and style than it is for warmth and weather resistance.

I gave this jacket a 4 star rating instead of a 5 only because of the lack of covering my mouth like in the picture and the damage to the second rubber-patch I received.

EDIT: Upon closer inspection, the guy in the picture is wearing a scarf so that's why it looks like it covers his mouth.

Modern Sith Lord.

Putting things simply, this coat is just pure awesomeness.

I had also made short youtube video of me wearing the coat. Simply go to youtube and search " Musterbrand Sith Lord Coat w/red saber ".

Very fast shipping, almost as soon as I placed my order it's amazon statues went to "shipped". It arrive in about 4 days total.

I'm a fairly tall and lengthy guy who's about 6'5 to 6'4 - ish and I bought the basic "large". I must say that it fits rather well. It's snug without being constricting, and, spacious without too being big and clumsily. The cloth on the inside of the coat itself is very comfortable. It doesn't feel as if it rubs up against me in any negative way. I'v also opt out for the red imperial symbol inside lining which looks better in my opinion when comparing it to the Death Star image print inside lining on the limited addition version.

This coat has defiantly got a since of "Star Wars" and/or "futuristic sci-fi cyber punk" without being blatantly obvious. You'll definitely get looks while wearing this but, not in a bad way.

It's great for both cosplay and casual everyday wear. I personally feel like if you want to have a good looking cosplay but, don't want to spend money on a direct and/or full costume that you might only wear once and then never touch again, than this coat is perfect for you.

As far as use in bad weather and warmth goes; Id say that it's something you "can" wear in cold weather "but", I would not at all recommend wearing it in a blizzard or, very heavy rain. Although... lets be honest here... if you are looking to purchase this coat its not likely because of how efficient it is at concealing you from bad weather.

All and all if you are a big Star Wars fan and you want to "say it but not spray it" when it comes to Star Wars. This piece of apparel is most definitely worth the money.

A Sith Dressed Man

I am a 5'9 male who buys small shirts and prefers slim fit shirts. This coat is awesome. I did buy the small and it fits perfectly. Not too loose (which is something I hate) and not skin tight. I have room to breathe, but it doesn't look like it's eating me. The material seems durable and the inside of it looks awesome. The only real problems I have with this coat it that hair, fuzz, dust, and other things are easily seen since it is black. However, that's a super minor complaint for an overall awesome jacket that makes you feel like a Sith Lord without looking too much like a nerd. This is a nice looking coat that doesn't scream "I love star wars!" However it does let you show your love for it in a subtle manner. Worth the price if you're a big star wars fan who likes to look nice.

Zipper
by Dylan Craine (4 out of 5 stars)

Excellent fit and very good quality. But its zipper is on the wrong side for a mans jacket. I believe it goes back in history. This is just from memory after all. But men pulled the zipper up with the right hand. Because back in the day I supposed they dressed themselves. While well to do women had servants to help dress them, so drawing a predominate hand, easier. Hence someone facing you rights hand would be left.

But other than that it was and will continue to be my favorite jacket.

Solid product, weak price point
by Ben (4 out of 5 stars)

The jacket itself is of good quality, stitching is precise and tight, patterns are crisp and pleasing. It's a tight fit, which can be good and bad. It looks good because of it, but it SEVERELY limits arm and upper body movement. I can't seem to roll my shoulders forward without an intense fear of ripping something, however; it does feel solid when it is pushed to that limit and seems as though it would take a nice solid yank to get the seams loose.

The clasps are snug and hold well, the zippers are of decent but not great quality. The hood is comfy and keeps warm, though the straps are too long and often get in the way. The Imperial pendents are fantastically flexible and look GREAT.

The Imperial cog on the inside is my favorite part of this jacket, the red pops and accents it in a marvelous way.

All in all, the jacket is a bit tight in the upper body, and I would definitely recommend getting a size above. It's certainly NOT worth the price, in all honesty, but it's not a regrettable purchase either.

It doesn't instantly jump out as "Star Wars", and takes a second look and a few seconds for it to sink in. At the same time, fans of the series would be able to pick it out a bit quicker.

By that merit, though, this would make a good impromptu / back up Inquisitor / Dark Jedi cosplay if your actual costume were to be in a state of disrepair.

A good product with a poor price point that makes you cringe, but won't leave you regretting it at the same time.
