I made this video as soon as I got it! I wanted to gross my friends and family out and this really got the job done! Honestly it didn't taste that bad!

After seeing the Human Planet episode where the kids in Venezuela go out in the forest to catch and eat tarantulas, my friend and I thought it looked pretty good and wanted to try it. This was nothing but the exoskeleton(being dehydrated)... had absolutely zero taste. It was just crunchy and bland. We put some hummus on it but then it just tasted like hummus. Also, I had black diarrhea for the next couple of days. I think maybe because the hairs were still on it, they irritated my intestines and in fact had caused some internal bleeding(causing the black poop). I would say I'm glad I tried it, but sense it had zero flavor AND negative consequences, there was really nothing positive about the experience and I would not suggest it.

The novelty of eating a tarantula as part of a Christmas dinner was a huge hit for our son and family members brave enough to sample the product. The packaging and the spider inside were professionally and carefully prepared.

A little dry. Spider wasn't broken, perfect condition. If you're into eating spiders, this is for you.

Not a canned tarantula. It came dried in a plastic container in a bag. Not as advertised
Entertaining

Product was not as impressive as the pictures showed. It was primarily a body in a bag with broken off legs. It was purchased as a challenge from the players for a coach to eat. It provided the expected entertainment. The legs tasted like dirty sticks while the torso tasted similar to a thick, dirty jujubes.
Cool experience,, but not worth the money

The experience was fun, but the product was lacking. The spider was pretty small, and the legs were mostly broken off. We ended up with about 12 piece from trying to take it out of the pouch. There was not a lot of flavor, but the big crunch of eating the body was enough to make the room squeamish, so it was fun to watch everyone's reactions.
Worth a try

I am pretty disappointed this did not come as advertised. I was hoping to get one in a can because is was to be a funny novelty gift for my brother who tries to collect exotic canned foods. It came in a sealed package with the tarantula in a plastic seethrough container. I wish this company would tell you that it comes in different packaging then what the picture shows. What a waste of money!
