This is not an exaggeration: the first time I used this when flying, FOUR people I encountered on the trip stopped to ask me how this worked and where I got it (United Club bartender, two United Club patrons, one flight attendant in the air). I'm a travel accessory junkie, and this is the best, smartest product I've bought in quite some time. Not only do I save money on airport bottles of water, but I drink more water as well. And chances are that your airport has filling stations at water fountains - they're there if you keep your eyes open. I bought several of these for holiday gifts for friends who travel.

This is a really cool product. I frequently want to have a drink with me when I don't have a huge bag, and I don't want to be stuck carrying around a big empty bottle, like my Kleen Kanteen, when I'm done with it. Got this, problem solved. I get my drink, and then it collapses down to small purse/wristlet size when empty. I got the case too, so it would be protected in my bag, but I don't think it's really necessary. The bottle is pretty sturdy.

I know some people have said there's a funny taste at first when it's new, but I'm pretty sensitive to odd tastes/smells, and I didn't notice anything. I did wash it with hot soapy water before using it, but that's all I did and it's been completely fine.

It's not perfect -- it can be difficult to get the last of your water out without taking the lid off. It is also a little harder to collapse/expand than I'd like because the material is a bit too flexible. Also, because it's not rigid, it doesn't fit in my car cup holder right. It's the right size, but it's too difficult to slide in and out of the holder because it's too squishy/grippy.

But overall, I really like it.

Perfect for travelers with carry-on luggage

I took this on my last trip and I truly loved it. It is easy to open, close, and collapse. The top comes off so it is easy to fill and to clean. Completely collapsed, it takes up very little room--always good when traveling with carry-on luggage only. The bottom fits in a car cup holder with no problem. Several of the reviews I read noted a plastic/chemical taste. I washed mine with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda and had no problems. Other reviews noted that the lid straw was difficult to open. Again, I had no problem with this.

Love it. I wanted a small bottle that I can slide into my office bag and use it when cups would not be avaailable. This is perfect. I am using it for travel as well. The collapsed bottle slides into a top pocket of a bag through security. No extra bottle holding pocket required.

I took this on a recent flight. Loved how compact it is, easy to carry when full, easy to stow when empty. I had some issues with water leaking from the lid that were resolved when I learned to pay attention to lining the threads up while screwing the lid back on. Very handy!

The beauty of this is that it has almost zero bulk until you fill it up. So it travels extremely well and gets less heavy and bulky on your belt as you consume the water. Very durable.

Purchased this before I traveled and I totally loved it. It saved me money while I was traveling since all the airports I was at had filtered water fountains. This will save you lots of money if you're always traveling instead of buying water bottles at the airport. Also, you can use this while hiking or camping or anywhere.
