This is amazing product, helped me a lot. I do not smoke a lot and i like to control and track my smoking habit. Doing it in my head did no help a lot, specially when I go out with friends. With Quitbit i know precisely when and where I smoked the last, how much I smoked during the week so I can cut down the following days.

I have reduced my smoking by 25% in just 4 weeks i have been using it. At this rate, i should be able to recover the cost of this lighter in few months. Smart phone app works really really well.

Pros:
- Beautiful design
- great app
- no smell that i get from gas lighter
- fits well in my pocket

Cons:
- little heavy in my jeans pocket
- need to charge every week (but charges really fast)
- miss the 'flame' from regular lighter

I was an early adopter from IndieGoGo. This lighter is great, lets me quantify how much I smoke. I'm taking the slow taper to quit, so i've been cutting down slowly. I've tried everything to get over this habit, had some success with Chantix once, but the side effects blow. Cold Turkey is possibly the best, but it puts your body through some shock, and around the 3-month"‹ mark I've tended to go back. I'm not looking to be one of those that quits when my life is in immediate danger- so with this i can do it at my pace with the right will power! The app has some great resources, (I'll admit it could be prettier), but being the first item of its kind, think its great. Also- its a serious conversation starter. Lastly, the customer service at this company is phenomenal. I'd honestly say I've never had such a great experience in that regard. You can tell the creators really stand behind the product.

I've not have my Quitbit too long but it's already helped cut my smoking quite drastically (about 40%). You need to have the discipline to take it out with you and it does all the tracking automatically and has a clean iOS app. What helped me the most was using Quitbit to space out my cigarettes into longer and longer increments, naturally reducing my smoking. I'm pretty confident that when I'm ready Quitbit will help me finish off this nasty habit.

The lighter itself is great, and it really did help me reduce the number of cigarettes I smoke, just by providing a hassle free way to count them and finally making me properly aware of how many and how often.

I had a couple of hiccups with malfunctioning software, but the customer service was outstanding.

The app could use some work (let you export the data, allowing you to see numbers beyond the weekly view, etc) but overall: outstanding product.

Put yourself in control of your smoking

Besides being the coolest lighter i've ever owned, Quitbit puts you in control of making positive changes in your smoking instead of waiting for things to change. Making a move and setting up a plan to quit was the best thing I could have done for my health.

You'll want to carry this lighter around with you - the design is really beautiful and the free app helps track cigarettes and set goals. I really liked seeing the community of other Quitbit users trying to quit, encouraging each-other, and giving their fellow smokers support as well.

They say self-awareness is the key to self-improvement. Using the Quitbit lighter enables just that. Got it for my friend, and he likes to track how much he smokes, and it wasn't until he used the Quitbit did he realize how much he smoked and had a tendency to chainsmoke on the weekends. So he has cut down since. This is a neat product that empowers its users to make more health-conscious decisions, which is a powerful idea.

This is the go-to option for anyone that is trying to quit smoking! The tracking piece is key as I was able to see my exact habits and therefore could make a plan to reduce those habits. Not to mention the design is super sleek and my friends always ask me where I got such a cool gadget.

Great idea, but product has some minor flaws

I bought the Quitbit looking to try to cut back. The lighter does look pretty slick. When I first used the Quitbit, it didn't pair with my Android. I contacted customer support and they said that I should update the firmware. It was pretty easy and afterwards, it worked.

I do find lighting with the heating coil a little annoying. It takes a good second to light up and you have to drag on it. It gets gunked up a little, but you can remove the plate to clean it. Theres a replacement heating coil included just incase it breaks or becomes too dirty. Overall, I feel OK about this purchase and its good to know how much ive been smoking and im a little closer to my goal.

Quitbit really does works very well, but only when you're committed. I used one 8 months ago, and cut down to about 3-4 cigs a day. Then one day I got the final motivation I needed to quit smoking. If you have the motivation this device will help you get there.
