I really like this, the lid is the important part, with its' ability to dial in the day you put the food in the storage. I use if for my hot dogs (they are the foot long, dinner franks and I make up to 8 a week). Also my Jello, and other not so perishable items that could be in the refrigerator for more than couple of days, and are good for that time, but we don't want them in their forever.

I like the dial up, you turn the dial to get the month, and reverse the dial to get they day. Seems very well built.

High Quality Materials, But Not An All-Purpose Container

This is a high-quality, BPA-free plastic container that we use to store fresh-baked cookies. The date feature in the lid is fantastic, ingenious, and functions flawlessly.

Like I said, it's high-quality plastic, but that's also a negative when it comes to functionality. Perhaps the date function is to blame for the sturdy construction of the lid, but the whole thing is absolutely inflexible. That makes it very difficult to pry open.

Also, although the manufacturer says this can be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher, I fear exposing it to that much heat would absolutely ruin it.

Likewise, I hesitate to submerge the lid in the sink because the date dial is not watertight. Any water that seeps in around the dial has no drain and would therefore be trapped inside. It's possible to clean the bottom of the lid without submerging it, but that'd be a lot of effort if you're using this to store messy foods like lasagna or casserole leftovers.

But, again, great for baked goods and other non-messy foods.
