I have never had so much fun with the grand kids as I have had goofing around eating these insects with them. They are both petrified, and fascinated. Best money I ever spent.
Not Going to be on the Menu, But....

I admit I'm a little lost on how to rate this. I want to be fair. The only complaint I had is the same problem you get with any variety mix. Sometimes you don't get enough of each kind, and sometimes the package lacks one of the varieties. The bugs were dehydrated and in that state rather difficult to tell which one they were. I was glad that the legs and heads fell off, which made them easier to eat. The texture was not that bad. It didn't feel like you were eating a bug. The package contained mostly worms. I don't know which one it was--the Sago or Silk worm. Of course, of the ones I tasted, they tasted pretty decent...a mixture of cheddar cheese and wheat germ. The crickets and grasshoppers tasted like cat food to me (and yes, I did try that once as a kid).
I was curious, and this satisfied my curiosity. I accomplished one wild and crazy thing on my bucket list--and compared to things like jumping out of an airplane, I guess it was one of the cheaper thrills. Oh, by the way...the package looks smaller than it does in the picture. I feel satisfied with this one accomplishment, so I can go back to being boring again. I doubt bugs will ever be on my menu unless that zombie apocalypse thing happens.

A total rip off. They show a picture of a bag but they come in a small tin. They list weight in metric (15g) relying on you to not do the conversion (that's .5291 ounces) at $13+ that's more than $300 a pound.
There is no flavor to these. They even need more salt (the only non-bug ingredient in here).
Tiny, smushed package. Not a good value.

So tiny and smushed. For the price I was expecting something much larger, the entire package is about the size of my hand and only 1/4 inch thick. Shipped in manilla envelope, without opening it I can already tell most of the content are broken and or smashed.
I would expect something like this to cost $5 max... And to be packaged better to prevent smushage.
Not that bad

I bought these for my kids. They enjoyed them.
They are kind of oily tasting and crunchy. No big deal for anyone afraid to try them.

Too small. Not worth the money at all.

I bought these to share with my first & second grade class for an end-of-unit celebration on insects. They arrived intact (mostly) and were in a variety of lifecycle stages. Having a few loose legs or wings was helpful, it created an opportunity to try a small bit for those who were wary of trying the whole insect. The insects were crunchy and had no spices, which was perfect as we were looking for THEIR taste. They are mostly bland w/a bit of nuttiness in flavor.
