I can not recommed this stoveby R. May (1 out of 5 stars)

I got this in feb17 after 6 months of use i can say i dont like it. It takes a lot of effort to get it going and to keep it going. It seems to me that it is lacking good air flow. The stove is very heavy and good luck putting it together on a freezing day. I will say it is well made and looks good, in the end the functionality is not there.
I totally love it.

Very versatile stove that you can incorporate many types of fuels with it. Not just for wood only. Wood would be the last alternative I'd use with this little beauty. I totally love it.

It's a cute idea, but it does not work. Poorly engineered. You can build a fire in it as long as you do not put a pot on top of it. When you put the pot on, it puts out the fire and just smokes -- a lot. There is not enough air intake to sustain the fire.

I give this two stars only because it's well built. I started it up using very dry lodgepole pine twigs and put two cups of water in a steel yams can to boil. The fire went out once and I had to relight it...After feeding it smaller twigs to keep it going for more than 30 minutes the water never boiled! Avoid this stove, it's very heavy, doesn't heat up well, expensive and a sure disappointment. Thank heavens I tested it in my back yard before the hills where I would depend on it. The Toaks gassification stove is half the price, made of titanium so very light and easy to light (Toaks has instruction videos to teach you to light it and hotash just has advertising videos) and boiled two cups of water in under 8 minutes! Please watch out for this stove! Unless you want to buy mine! .... It's for sale and works...lol
Amazing and durable wood stove!

I am extremely happy with the Hot Ash Stove! I bought this for when I hike/camp and also for emergency prep as I live in Florida and added this to my hurricane disaster gear. I took the stove with me on a recent hike and was very impressed. While it took me a little time to get it to light, I blame that on simply being the first time I used it. I have used it since and learned how to get it burning much quicker. Once the fire was going, I was really surprised at how hot it got. In fact, I brought a gas stove and compared the two. Hot Ash got the water boiling to a roll about 3 minutes faster than my gas stove. The beauty of it is that there is a surplus of fuel when on a hike. My only complaint is that it is kind of heavy but the trade off is that it is incredibly durable. All in all I am really happy and would def recommend this product to anyone who likes to camp and hike or any one looking to beef up their emergency gear!
