Cheap lock, way too easy to get into

The bag and design have good build quality, and it's a nice size. The zipper access is uncomfortable for putting items in and pulling them out, and it's difficult to find smaller items inside, but it isn't too big of a deal for larger items. That said, THE LOCK IS GARBAGE. It's cheap and flimsy, and the combination I programmed ended up not working after a few uses (this kind of combination lock can reprogram on its own, because of the cheap build quality and design). I needed my passport and credit cards so I just tugged on the flap and it pulled right out. I was shocked out how easy it was to get in there. While the locking mechanism is sturdy enough, the metal flaps "securing" the back plate to the bag are made from very soft metal, which didn't hold up at all.

I bought this for a gift and was very disappointed. It is advertised at the beach and says it's water resistant. I am not sure how a product can be water resistant with a hole in the bottom of it. So what are the 2 things at the beach you want your items to be free of? Water and sand. both of which can come in through the bottom hole.

The lock appears to be very flimsy also. I was embarrassed! Another thing they don't tell you is they only guarantee it for 14 days from the ship date. That is printed on the card on the inside of the box. a worthless guarantee!! If I hadn't sent it as a gift I would have tried to send it back. Kind of hard to do that when it is a gift.

Also I wrote a review on the manufacturer site. They emailed me but have not published my review. If you look on their website, it seems they don't publish negative reviews.

I initially was very happy with this purchase. As an American traveling through Cuba, I needed to keep a substantial amount of cash on me and this certainly made leaving it in rental rooms more comfortable. That said, the zipper broke half way through the trip. Soooooo, kind of a waste of $.

Hmmmm, I'm a bit frustrated. Followed the directions and reset the code and tried to unlock it with no success. I thought maybe I didn't set my code so I tried the factory code and stop nothing. I have a little bit of time before my cruise so hopefully they help me figure this out before then. Otherwise I will be returning it.

Great product- we've used this several times on vacation. At a waterpark(attached to a chair) & at theme parks (attached to the stroller). Holds a couple phones, wallets, keys. Wish the number pad was a little better quality as it can be hard to line up the numbers at times, but once you understand where to line them up it's easy to use.

We have used this a couple of times now the local water park, having season passes will use it every weekend. I have had a few people ask about it as the see me attaching to the lounge. All wanted to know where I got it and wanted to get one for the water park or summer beach trips.
It does help keep items that we would normally hide in bags or under towels secure. I still watch our items from the pool but don't feel like I need to constantly watch them or stay behind while the others are swimming. I do wish it was a little bigger but it is a good size. Maybe the company will eventually offer other sizes as well. However, it will fit all 3 of our phones(2 have large screens, one standard) a wallet then a few smaller items (keys) It is by no means stuffed at that point and could get additional small items if we needed.
I have been using the loops on the front to hold lip protection, not secure but easily in reach. Face it though, who is going to take your used lip protection. Pouches on the sides are small , I have put glass cleaning wipes in them for ease of access.
I have not been attaching it to the back of the lounge like in the product pictures but at the foot facing me as I sit in the lounge. Makes it easier to just lean over an operate the combination lock.
We will be taking a cruise later this summer, I think this will be perfect for securing items around the crowded pool. Again phones, MP3 player, ear buds, room card, what ever we decide we cannot live without between the pool and he cabin.

Since this is soft sided will fit in your travel bag without taking up much room, and in a pinch can put small items in and place around the closet rod if it is secured on the ends. That is if the hotel does not have a safe in the room. Much better than leaving items out of site but just laying in a drawer.
I can see the bag becoming a permanent part of our travel gear.
My only complaint would be that the chrome buckle could be made a darker color or brushed metal. In the bright sunlight with the reflection back off of the buckle, the numbers on the combination lock can be a little hard to read, especially with old eyes. That has not been enough to take away any stars though.

Don't put instructions inside. Secure your combo. Adjust your expectations to fit the design.

For what it is intended I think it will work out nicely. I will say that unless it is wrapped around a bar, it is very easy to enter. I wrote my combination on the enclosed product instruction pamphlet -- apparently stuck that INSIDE the flexsafe because of being busy and distracted. Then forgot about the whole thing for a few weeks.

Last night I thought I would remember the combo. But. NOT. So after attempting to do my most likely combinations and contemplating systematically going through all possible combinations of 3 positions that could be 0-9, I decided to take a change and see if I could open the zipper and stick my hand inside. It was not attached around any bar. Sure enough. I was able in a short time to get the zipper open. Found the pamphlet with my 3 digit code. One I would clearly NOT have remembered. WHAT WAS I THINKING??? Lol.

So. Now. After having a lucky second chance I have secured the code in a trustworthy location. I have learned from experience this needs to be placed around an object that prevents unzipping it.

That said -- it may not be a perfect deterrent but it will make things less convenient to swipe when one needs a modest effort at security but will not be gone for long, nor far away, from a position of direct supervision.

I hate this. Written directions were terrible. I followed directions and I set a code and closed it and cannot get it open. After looking for a place to get help, found compete directions for setting code online. Should have been in package. Am now stuck with a safe I can't open. Fortunately nothing inside.

I wanted to love this product. I need this product to work well and it works but not great. I took it to Dollywood's Splash Country and it held everything I needed it to hold. However, I could barely get the lock to work - twice. I had my diabetic supplies in there and it frightened me that i had to struggle so hard - twice- to get it unlocked. I almost had to go to security to see if they could get it unlocked. Finally, i got it to work. Honestly, I don't think I'll use it again and I'm disappointed. I really wanted it to work.
