Beautiful light unit. To use this light, you have to press and hold the light button down for 1 seconds to activate the color LED (I purchased the Blue one). If you quickly tap the light button, it will activate the top white light. There are 3 settings to the top light (Low, Med, High). The message glass allows me to write a note or something inspirational to keep me focus and staying positive everyday. Great item to get as a gift. I highly recommend this item

It is a cool lamp with the neon glow pad, but the intensity of the lamp light is not good. It is very dim, even though it has 2 intensity levels, it is still very dim at the brighter intensity level. The gooseneck is very flexible. It would be great if the LED light has a brighter intensity level to be a good useful lamp. I also think the LED temperature spectrum is too cool at cool white blue end, it would be much better if the LED light temperature is warmer at the warm white yellow-red end. It would be a great product if the manufacturer changes the specification to use brighter and warmer LED light, it would be a better seller.

The charge holds incredibly well, and I've never had a problem with it dying on me very fast. The light gets dimmer as the battery gets drained, so you can tell when it needs to be charged. I'm a college student, and I love the convenience of this lamp. I was worried about the size of this lamp before I bought it, but the size and weight are perfect, and I can take it anywhere my studying takes me in my room or around my building. I just use my phone charger adapter to charge the lamp, and I've also charged it through my laptop.

I didn't really care much about the writing blue light display thing, but sometimes I put motivational or funny quotes on it just for fun. It could also function well as a night light, but I don't use those since I prefer my bedroom to be as dark as possible when sleeping. The lamp itself is great, and has been incredibly useful to me the past five months as I've lived in and adjusted to college life. I would buy it again in a heartbeat, although it seems like it'll last me a long while, and I highly recommend it.

This little lamp is so cool, I think everyone should have one.It a little smaller than I originally expected but it is awesome nonetheless! The wire that the light is on bends so you can bend and twist it whichever way you want to! There are 3 settings for the brightness of the lamp. Low, medium and high)Then if you hold down the button you push for the light the blacklight lights around the clear little message board and makes your marker glow. The instructions are in Chinese so I had to figure it out on my own but it didn't take too long. I love that it doesn't require batteries and you just charge it via usb. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about is the pen that comes with it doesn't attach to the lamp at all. I just had to attach some Velcro and worked great! Also you can use pretty much any liquid chalk markers or window markers and they work just the same if not better. I definitely recommend this lamp!

Walkas Desk Lamp with Message Board came nicely packed without any damage.This desk lamp comes already assembled and has got a very stylish look, 3 levels of brightness control (high, medium and low) and it is very easy to change the brightness by touch it lightly with a fingertip and it retains the last brightness setting even after you turn it off. It has got on/off button is at the bottom of the lamp. Both the pad light and main lamp light is touch controlled, the long touch the lamp bottom to turn on the pad light. It comes with a pen with the eraser so you can write notes on the clear pad

Love the design. It is sooo cool. The light doesn't take up a lot of desk space and the led is bright. The light has 3 settings for brightness and is very compact/versatile. I like how the button is touch button, so it won't accumulate dust and easy to clean. You can long press the button for the lit up pad. It comes with a pen with the eraser so you can write notes on the clear pad. You can take this lamp anywhere because you can just charge it or just plug it into a micro-usb cable for it to operate. This would make a great gift and is good for any environment.

Great battery life and light quality

This is a good lamp for its price. It has 3 settings for lights - low, medium, and high. The writable pen lasts pretty long and the battery life is just awesome. This is a much better desk lamp compared to other ones. The light-rod is fold-able and you can pretty much turn it in any direction you want. The only down thing is that the touch sensor is not very accurate - sometimes it changes the settings on its own and it auto turns on the blue light. Other than that pretty cool lamp to get.

A bit smaller than I expected. Works well as lights go. 3 levels of lighting doesnt really work. The first tap automatically goes up 2 levels, 1 more tap to maximum brightness. The little message board is a bit of a novelty but beware white furniture and the pen it comes with.

I am giving this product 5 stars even though the first lamp I received the message board did not light up. The Walkas folks reached out to me directly and I advised that the main lamp worked perfectly, but the message board did not light up. They sent me another lamp at no charge and this one works perfectly! I now have two lamps!! The message board doesn't light up on one of them, but there is nothing wrong with the main light!! It is rare to find GOOD customer service these days! Thanks for the new lamp and I appreciate the excellent customer service.

After a few months with this, still loved by recipient, m'y 74 yo Dad. He uses reading glasses and this has a feature that illuminates AND has a magnifying square that has multi functions. He reports a double thumbs up for space, usefulness, overall a 10 out of 10.
