Mini Foot Hammock

Product Description

Put your foot up on the hammock under the desk comfortable for your foot. You can adjust the length of the the rope from 200 mm to 450 mm. A desk hammock designed specifically for resting your feet. The setup consists of a narrow strip of canvas and a set of clips to mount on either end of your desk that hold small lengths of rope. When it's fully installed you're free to adjust the height between "work" and "rest" mode.

Update: I updated my review because of a slight frustration with the hammock. I never contacted customer service about it, but they contacted me and replaced the item. Would definitely order from this company again! I got this to make sitting in my cubicle more comfortable. It was easy to install and adjust to where I needed. The biggest plus is this helps me to sit up straighter in my chair so my back doesn't hurt from sitting all day. Very glad I bought this! Update: slightly frustrated that within the first two days the rubber pads that keep the brackets from moving have come off. It makes using the hammock pretty much impossible because it slides all over the desk and makes an awful noise!

I read most of the reviews before purchasing this product and have come to a couple of conclusions:
1. Yes it would be best if you had a stand alone desk that wasn't permanently against a wall. My desk is L-shaped and tightly squeezed into my cubicle. But with enough elbow grease and maybe a small unnoticeable scratch I was able to wrench in the provided bracket and hook it onto my desk.
2. The hammock is easily adjustable to fit your comfort and height needs.
3. The brackets cannot be secured. However I do not feel the need to secure them. The weight and force applied to the brackets from my legs prevent the brackets from moving.

All in all, putting the hammock on my desk was a little frustrating, but now I enjoy and my coworkers are jealous!

Check desk shape

Love this idea. This works great, but make sure that your desk is a square or rectangle. I sit in a corner shapes cubical and there really was no good way to hang the hammock. I was able to rig something together, but it's not ideal. If my desk were the right shape it would be even better, but it does serve its purpose.

Big disappointment

I was excited to try these out, and bought one for myself and one for my husband. We're both disappointed with the item.

The rubber gripper slides off the clamp part every time I adjust my feet in the hammock, meaning I now have scrapes on the sides of my desk. If I accidentally push my feet down into the hammock too hard, the adjustable bands immediately loosen to the loosest position and I have to crawl under my desk and adjust them again. If I keep my feet/legs perfectly still and don't put any additional pressure on the hammock, it works fine. But for a squirmer like myself, this product just doesn't work.

Make sure to look carefully at your desk for fit support or also buy hook screws.

Not much when it comes to shipping these, I do wish they they came with hook screws because the type of hook (image 6) dont hold the best. The NON skid silicone is more plastic and crap and the type of desk these support are very limited in size and the type of backing.

For instance if you have a lift desk, this wont work.

If you have a closed back and closed side office desk this wont work.

If you have a pull out keyboard this way work if you hook the sides

I have just started spending a lot of time at my desk and have always kept a something to put my feet up on. Now that I found this my comfort level has sky rocketed. My only negative comments are that (1) the ropes are a bit too long and I had to toy with it to make ti work at a good high (although too long is much better than too short) and (2) I wish it was a bit wider.

This is a great product!

Helps me deal with leg pain from an injury

Oh my goodness has this thing been a lifesaver for me! I have knee problems and bought this after a particularly bad injury. I can adjust it all the way up and it keeps my leg propped up to help reduce the swelling! I had pretty bad damage to my leg, so a year later I still have issues with it, but I couldn't get through my work day on bad leg days without this foot rest.

I thought I'd be able to figure out how to make this work with my desk at work, but there's only one good side for hooking and it didn't work out. But it's still a cool idea if you've got the right desk, just don't expect this to work on any old desk.

Great idea and works well with my desk. My only complaint is that the material shifts and bunches up. But a few small nails/tacks fixed that problem. I have a standing height table/desk so when I am sitting on a stool this is perfect.
