Fabulous beach mat. Really does keep the area sand free around you so your towel doesnt get all sandy. Only reason for 1 less star is it wasnt the colour specified exactly. More of a teal than turquoise and the back is orange, which was a bit of a surprise.

I ordered the large size and it is pretty roomy. I also ordered the blue and the colors look great out in the sun. I felt pretty cool and posh on the beach whipping out my pretty blue beach mat from my matching blue beach bag! But I took one star away because it's a bit harder to get the sand off the mat than advertised; you have to pat and and shake the sand through, it doesn't just fall through. Wet sand is even harder. But I still love this mat.

Sand does not fall through as advertised without you having to rub it around it and mostly just bounces back onto you or your towel. Material is rough so you cannot lay on it without a towel or blanket over it which really defeats the purpose. Sand collects between the two layers making it a mess to try and fold back up for storage after use. Totally bummed with this one.

Great blanket! When you have a wet dog that runs over it and gets wet sand on it, it doesn't "drain". But, nothing about a wet dog makes things easy. It works well with dry sand. Nice and big for 2 people with room to spare. Also good weight and won't blow over corners in the wind like a towel. It's bulky and heavy to carry long distances but worth it when you get to where you're going.

Received as a gift off my wish list. Love loved this beach item. Have used it twice this week. On totally dry sand and semi moist (not wet) sand. Both were just fine. Sand falls through (the more moist, the more effort if you want no sand at all), wind didn't blow it away, and in the hot Florida sun it didn't get hot to the touch. No complaints here!! Definitely recommend it

Very nice but heavy. When you are already taking chairs and such to the beach this heavy blanket can be a bit much. Also because it is a stiffer fabric it doesn't fold up small. I am still happy with the purchase though because it works just as advertised.

This mat is great. Works as described-no sand stays on the mat. Clean up is easy, just sprayed with a hose and then I hung in the sun to dry. Worth the money. Would buy again.

Works as advertised. The sand on our beach isn't white powder sand so it doesn't just flow right through the mat but the mat still does an excellent job of keeping your area sand free and it cleans up very easily.
