When I saw this item, I knew immediately I had to have it. It is so irritating and awkward to find a place for a lid from a pot you are cooking something in that needs stirring, checking on, etc. The first time I used the Trivae I was sold and plan on ordering another one. It has numerous uses, though, at the moment, I use it mostly to hold a lid off a very hot pot. I love it!!!! It is great and I highly recommend it, regardless of the price, IT IS WORTH IT, for anyone who cooks, and wants a place to lay a hot lid out of the way during the cooking process.

Versatile Lid Holder

When removing a lid from a hot cooking pot, it's always a challenge to find a spot on the counter to put it. Also, because the steam rolls down the sides of the lid, it's a mad dash from the stove to the sink to keep the liquid from dripping on the floor. So I purchased the Trivae holder. I love it! I set up the holder by the stove, remove the lid, quickly flip the lid upside down, place in the holder and the liquid rolls down into the center of the lid. Eazy peazy to manage a hot, steamy lid. I also use the holder as a trivet as shown in the photos. Very versatile.

I had considered a different types of lid holders, but so glad to have selected this one.

It does exactly what the seller advertises - holds cast iron dutch oven lid without problem.

The only issue is very small lids - but you can place them toward a side and it works.

The Trivae is the perfect companion in the Kitchen, Dining room and Serving table. Do you ever cook or boil something and have to take the lid off? The Trivae allows you to have a place, to easily place the lid without dripping condensation all over the place. It also works as a stylish tray or pot holder on the dinner table. It's elevated just right for serving and keeping the heat off the table surface. Once you use it, you will wonder why you never had one before. I gifted one to my mother and she uses hers daily. She likes the style and ease of use. I visited one day and she had it on the kitchen table, with flowers on it.

Pricy but worth it, I used to drive my hubby nuts becase of the way I put lids on the counter. I'm a klutz and couldn't put them down upside down like you should and this solves this problem.
