Very poor quality

I was one of the original Kickstarter backers for this phone; the one I received is unusably poor. It has poor battery life, mediocre sound quality, and is hard to use. Build quality is such that I'm surprised every time I handle it that it didn't fall apart.

Received yesterday. Paired with my galaxy 7 via Bluetooth but texts never went through and when I tried sending texts from talkase phone I kept getting "not available". The manual is tiny with no detailed info. When I couldn't figure out something basic I figured I would check manufacturer website for more detailed instructions but the website is no longer working. I did manage to make a phone call with it one time and it sounded fine but all subsequent call attempts didn't work. Screen would display "Please..." but there was no way to read the rest of the screen so I'm not sure what they were asking of me. I wanted to love this phone, even gave money to them in the Kickstarter phase. I love the idea of something tiny to call and text from that I can connect via BT to my "real" phone so I'm going to keep looking.

This phone indeed fits the job as a back up phone that fits in my wallet without issue! I paired this up with my iPhone 6S Plus and worked like a charm. However, my intent is to truly use this as a standalone back up cell phone with a cheap cell service plan using Voice Only. In the event of dire need, I can careless about texting, or, having the means to surf the Internet. I'm currently using TING as my Cell provider, and it works flawless.

Be mindful, this phone isn't something that you'd be satisfied as using it as a primary phone. As it lacks many bells and whistles compared to your basic smartphone - smartphone it is NOT!

Having this peace of mine in the time of need in my wallet, is truly amazing and awesome!
