A Cute Idea that Fails in Practice

I really wanted to like this, but it just doesn't look good with normal-sized sponges. They're all either too long (sponge "mattress" hangs off the bed) or too small (pillows look like they're floating). See for yourself. Here you have a Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty sponge (4.5" x 2.7" x 0.6"), a Scotch-Brite Non-scratch sponge (4.4" x 2.6" x 0.8"), a Brillo Estracell Heavy Duty sponge (4.0" x 2.4" x 0.6"), and finally the sponge you receive with the holder. If you could easily buy sponges with the same dimensions as the one that comes with the holder, I would have happily kept this. I looked at a few different local stores and could find nothing like it.

It only fits a 4" sponge, which is not standard. Most sponges are 4.5", so they end up hanging off of the 'foot of the bed'.

I bought this for my boyfriend to have an alternative place for the sponge as opposed to inside the dirty sink amongst all the dirty dishes and sea creatures. I now have two sponges in the dirty dish abyss and an empty mattress frame on my counter.

I love it. Its super cute. However sponge is a lot thicker and smaller than what you usually buy at the store. So once you replace the sponge the bed is too small and the pillows are too high. It also doesn't have holes at the bottom, I drilled mine so it wont get moldy and smelly, But its so cute I get a lot of complements

I purchased this as gift. It's so cute. It is a fun gift item for the person that has it all. And, in this case, it was for someone that owns a cleaning company and dresses to the nines. It was the perfect gift. I will say that the pillows are attached so you slip the sponge under it. I thought the pillows were extra items that you place on top of the sponge (I also didn't read much about it before the purchase).

It is a plastic bed for a sponge. Nobody needs one of these, which is why me and a group of friends all conspired to send these to a friend anonymously. Merry Christmas, good luck figuring out what to do with many sponge beds.

Nice but..

Clever little product but the bed doesn't fit most store bought sponges (bed is too short). Also pillows are too high for any sponge used more than once. That being said, it works well and I like it well enough.
