Fair design, but badly executed

This could probably be a really cool costume if they'd upgraded the materials and re-worked the design a bit. The costume is a full black bodysuit that's stepped into and all the components are attached to it. As a positive, it's fairly easily put on; however, the bodysuit is extremely limited in what kind of body it'll fit comfortably. I'm 5'7" and around 190lbs, and in order to get the upper part up over my shoulders to fasten at the back of the neck, the crotch area was riding up pretty uncomfortably. There was plenty of extra length in the arms and legs for someone taller, but it wouldn't fit someone with a longer torso because the distance between the crotch and the shoulders is too short. Because of the very short torso area, the belt line was well above my belly button and just looked kinda odd. If I'd gone with the larger size, I have a feeling it would have looked way too baggy on me.

The design of the armor is actually pretty cool, but the fabric is extremely thin and very cheesy looking. If there was a version of this costume that was just the "armor" (shoulders, front harness, belt, and fringe) with more believable fabric (maybe a faux leather) and the same fur accents but with adjustable straps and such, I think this would be a great, affordable accessory that could go over a variety of different outfits. Not sure why the manufacturer went with such a limiting look and fit of an attached black bodysuit.

It was a fun costume. I read the reviews and everyone said it ran small so I got one size larger than I normally wear and it fit perfectly. Always read reviews first! Lol. I wrongly thought there would be a facial beard piece. Oh well. I didn't have anybody around to help me put the arm and leg straps on so that was challenging and required some pins to keep in place. I needed to wear a small knitted hat underneath the headgear as it wouldn't stay on otherwise. The horns were a little too floppy. And the back Velcro was impossible to reach by myself. However, everyone loved it on me once I got to a party. Only Viking in attendance!

Would give a slightly higher review if the backside wasn't just the black body suit. The main reason for the low review is that the gold circles for detail fell off throughout the evening. Not worth the price.

The size chart is not accurate. The front cheat piece on the costume has a Velcro like belt, but it is very small for the XL size.
