Rock Band VR will only work on your Oculus-Enabled PC. The Guitar Controller can be used with your Oculus Rift. Guitar Controller is compatible with your Oculus Rift (PC) as well as Rock Band 4 for your PlayStation 4 console (Rock Band 4 sold separately).

Requires Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch - sold separately. You will also need the Rock Band VR connector. After you’ve purchased Rock Band VR, please contact Oculus Support to inquire about the connector. With this connector, you can bring your Rock Band guitar controller into virtual reality with the help of your Touch controllers. To attach your Rock Band VR connector, remove the plastic film from the bottom and line up the connector with the inserts on the head of the guitar controller. Starting with the lanyard, insert the right touch controller into the connector and push it firmly into place. Finally, secure the lanyard around the head.

If you suck at guitar, but want to feel like you're pro, you need this VR game!

This is so much fun! I preordered this after trying the demo at an event. The new chord system is extremely fun and immersive, with a huge set list of 60 songs. Although the classic mode is simply the notes in a dark area, that's not what the game is about. They added that basically as a favor to those complaining about the new chord system, the way I see it.

The chord system is surprisingly deep, with the ability to make it as challenging as you want it to be. You could go in for a simple playthrough and be chill about the performance, and have fun... or you could go in hitting chords to the beat, making chord changes like a mad guitarist, and aiming to top the leaderboards in score!

I can't wait to play more, and see what they might be adding further down the line!

This is the natural evolution of Rockband. Rockband should have always played this way. The new system has far more freedom and depth than the color fret board road system. I felt like I was actually playing guitar instead of playing a karoake play a long. I do not think the controller felt too weighted. The touch controller is extremely light in the first place and attachment even lighter. I had no issues nor did I worry about it coming out of place. Rockband features 60 tracks mostly old catalog but some new. I think some people will have a hard time letting go of the classic mode but the new mode is so satisfying compared to the old system. Classic mode makes me feel like I am using a toy but the new mode I am a Rock God stage diving from my bunk bed.

For a brand new product....you figured they would market it better. I pre-ordered it through amazon and got it on the release day. When I opened the box, its says Rock Band 4 Guitar and clearly states "Game software not included". I had to make sure I got the right item. Once I opened the box, there was a digital code for the game. So if you already have a guitar, just get the black adapter to hold the touch and buy the game.

For the actual game play, it is exactly what you were expecting. The VR experience makes the sound/atmosphere much more enjoyable then the console experience.

Once you hook the touch controller to the guitar, playing is a lot easier! The sense of being there on stage is amazing! I like that you don't have to worry about hitting the right notes, but can be creative with the song. I just wish others could be on stage with me for a multiplayer experience. I can't wait for more downloadable content....

The fact that windows 10 is required for the xbox controller should be more clearly advertised. Returning, was never able to play. Might pickup the PS4 version.

As a heads up it does REQUIRE Windows 10

I loved this game. An absolute blast! The immersion really ups the replay value on this. I honestly cannot recommend this game enough!

There was a bit of a learning curve for me in the beginning as I have never really played rock band aside from a handful of times years ago. What threw me off is all of the songs were not the standard "match the color coded notes gameplay" I've seen in the past. They do come up in the songs which give you combo points but aside from that you play as you go; which confused me at first. There is a tutorial which does a nice job of taking you through the different sounding chords you can use which in turn you play on your own during those blank parts which makes the game incredible fun allowing you to do your own thing. There is the classic mode which has the songs with the color coded cords but it's not near as immersive since you're not actually on the stage and stuff.

I would love to see more songs in the future, the selection it has now it decent but it could use more.
