Got this so as to have a display in my bedroom. Set up was a breeze and it locked on to the outdoor device's signal without a problem. Had to get used to the slight difference between the displays but these were minor. (I did miss the extra items such as being able to move thru the high index, wind chill, and dew point item, but this were minor things. These are automated on this display based on temp instead of having them available on a front panel button.) Since this was in my bedroom, which is all the way to the back of the trailer from where my computers are, I decided to not connect this display to the computer. I have an extender and it provided a really solid signal to this display. I plan on placing at least two more of these in the Living Room and the Kitchen. A good buy for me.

I got this as an add on for my current system. Since they allow you to seamlessly integrate more then one unit to each receiver I decided that I would have one upstairs in my bedroom and one in the living room. I have this one in the bedroom. I also have the light set to the dimmest possible and it's not over bearing to me but I sleep with something over my eyes. To me it's more of a night light. Setting it up was easy. Just put batteries in it, set the time and units and then set which channel I have my other unit and sensor set it. It took less then a minute and it was up and reading. I'm very happy with it.

What a HUGE disappointment.

This is my 2nd Acurite. The first one was a lower end model and never could read wind speed past 9 mph and the temperature readings were way off. This model turned out to be the same. I have stood beside it with a handheld anemometer that was reading 20+ mph readings (which matched online readings from other wx stations). Meanwhile, the cups on my Acurite unit were spinning like mad but the console was reading 4 to 7 mph. The temperature readings are NEVER ACCURATE. The lightning detector is a joke. It often reads 2 to 3,000 strokes a day no matter where I mount it. It does well with measuring rainfall and that is about it. I took great care to mount and orient it properly and bought the extension pole as well (it is tripod mounted). Again, I have an expensive rain gauge. Acurite is unresponsive and their suggestions border on humorous and absurd. I've only had this one since July and it will soon be in the recycle bin. I am furious with Acurite.

The display is nice and concise. It's different than the display that comes with the 5-1. I actually like it better. the ticker does not scroll along the bottom. It pops up the data which is WAY easier to read. The viewing angle is a bit narrow. the unit must be viewed from above or straight-on. Linked well with the sensor super easy .. Set the channel and bang, it found it. It is wall mountable but mount it low. so that you are looking down at it.

I live on a farm and closely monitor the weather. The Acurite Weather Center is perfect for all my needs. Gives indoor and outdoor temperature, rainfall, wind speed, and humidity indoors and outdoors. Also shows previous highs and lows, accumulated rainfall and other records. Also shows a forecast and time. I have really enjoyed using it and it is very accurate.

I have not found any negatives about it.

Good display. Rainfall display defective (tapping can get it to work). The weather station itself does what I expect it to do. I use it lots. I bought three additional displays - one from amazon, two directly from acurite. The display purchased from Amazon broke after two months (refused to receive updates from 5-in-1 sensor, other displays continued to work). The displays purchased from Acurite are defect-free and continue to work. I have 3 displays in service including this first display I purchased.

Perfect addition to my AcuRite weather station. Now I am able to read it in the kitchen and bedroom. I am sure weather fanatics will complain about the accuracy, but for me it is close enough (could be perfect - I don't know - I just like knowing the weather). I like the read outs and the record listed. The only negative is it is quite bright even at the lowest but I cover it with a t shirt at night and it is fine.

Temperature, humidity, wind speed large characters easy to see and read. Other parameters much smaller characters and not so easy to read unless very close. I added this as a second display for my 5 in 1 sensor. Has performed as advertised during the four weeks I have had it with one exception. The barometric pressure reading is consistently low. As a matter of fact I have 3 displays, 2 of 06016 and a 02007. The barometric pressure reading is always different on the 3 displays by a good margin and neither of them are very close to the actual barometric pressure which I obtain from a old reliable instrument which tracks the pressure available for our local area from the Weather Channel and NWS. So it appears to me that there is some problem with the way barometric pressure is measured by these units. Other than that, the readings of the other parameters seem to be reliable and reasonably accurate.

Disappointed in display angle of view, you basically need to be looking at it face on, eye level or you can barely see the digital display of info. Also did not receive the power adapter and the packaging was poor. I am awaiting a resolve to the power adapter.

A very nice-looking Acurite display that has a battery backup, but is almost impossible to read from underneath; it is very clear at eye level or slightly above. Works well with the 5-in-1 sensor.

The PC Connect feature only works as long as your PC is powered on, and you have the PC Connect software installed on your PC.

Update, 3-20-17: Works great, except the barometric pressure reading on my display is 0.2 less than what MyAcurite is reporting.
