Not comfortable, Mew NOT reusable (like single use dlc code)by Penny Noel (1 out of 5 stars)
November 16, 2018
It's a nice concept but not worth it. The joystick is stiff when clicking, and because its not exactly ergonomic it gets uncomfortable quickly. It's also inaccurate and hard to control. Also $50 seems like a lot for this.
ALSO: Mew is only obtainable ONCE with this EVEN if you delete your save file and try to reuse it on a fresh save. So once Mew has been traded over, that's it. It's like a one time use dlc code. So second hand Pokeball plus's are out of the question if you for sure want the Mew with this.
I get the reasoning behind this, so people dont just try to farm Mew, but I think its pretty ridiculous. They've effectively locked Mew behind a $50 pay wall. If you have two kids and they share a switch, either only one gets a Mew or you have to pay another $50 for a controller you already have that isnt worth it in the first place.
Also pretty ridiculous considering the save file situation on the Switch (no backups even with Nintendo Online with this game.) If your system dies or is lost, the file goes with it and along with that heartbreak it adds insult to injury that you'd have to buy a brand new Pokeball Plus just to get a Mew back. Bad move Nintendo.
1 star - can't fully control game or switch with this controller

I got this because of its official Nintendo endorsement. I would not recommend this for either of the Let's Go games. It only has a and b buttons. No x and y buttons mean you can't access the reset of the games features, and no home button means you can't even exit the game without pushing it on a different the switch controller. This controller is half baked at best in design and function. My 7 year old likes it otherwise it would be a return.
I wanted to edit to update for replies. You can shake it for a Y button, however it does not work in all parts of the game where Y is available. You can shake it for (pokemon play on the main map). You cannot shake it for info(y) during the battle. It still has no home button so you are stuck in the game unless you hit the home button on the console itself. Also you can only redeem mewtwo once off of it so make sure its the game you want to keep. Overall I am keeping it at 1s as it feels like an unfinished product and does not offer full functionality.
Great accessory to the game. JUST DON'T TAKE IT APART

Feels nice, has decent weight to it. the center joystick is kinda small so it can be clunky sometimes. blah blah. the main reason I write this is to warn you to NEVER EVER TRY TO OPEN IT ON YOUR OWN! I opened it up to try to remove the wrist strap and I ended up tearing the speaker's wire out of its socket. not the product fault, I'm just an idiot. DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE

Disappointed

I'm really disappointed in this as a controller. I knew about the limitations beforehand, but I thought my kids would go wild over it. They did at first, but the more we played the game with it the more frustrated they got with the controls. Clicking the little stick acts as your select button, but it's way to easy to accidentally move it up or down and select the wrong thing. Also you have to hold it exactly right so the red part faces forward or the directions are wrong. After initially being so excited now they're asking to use the joy con instead so this has become a waste. It's really cute, but it fails as a controller.
Love it

I absolutely love this. It works great for playing Pokemon Lets Go and I could not imagine the experience playing without it. It fits perfectly in your hand and has just the right amount of weight to it. It also does not feel or look like a cheap product. As for using it for Pokemon go it works by pressing the button when pokemon are in range with a 50/50 chance to catch. It does however auto spin stops which has been perfect for driving around town and hitting stops without having to find places to part to hit them manually. All you have to do is turn off the pokemon notification and it will focus solely on auto spinning stops for you. Great for the park and zoo without having to have your phone in hand staring at a screen to spin stops.
Hurts your hand

Barely usable as a controller, hurts your hand. You press on the joystick for A. There is a top button for B, which makes no sense because you rarely use B. They should have switched them or had a second more ergonomic button. Used for about 10 minutes before switching back to the Joycon.
Worth the money

I wasn't planning on purchasing this controller originally (just seemed gimmicky and unneeded), but then a friend of mine told me about all the extras you get with it. First of all, you Mew comes WITH the controller! You can also take your in-game pokemon out for "walks" with you when you're not playing the game, which earns XP. You can also use it with your Pokemon Go account as well. Definitely worth the extra $50.
Pokeball plus is so COOL!

This Pokeball controller is so awesome. It's a controller i've wanted for a long time and i couldn't br any happier if i tried. It lights up in the center when your catching a Pokemon, it makes the healing Pokemon jingle if you charge it, it even makes the Pokemon noise for whatever Pokemon you caught in it. Sure it's a little hard to use but you can adapt to it rather quickly plus it's fun to play the game using it. Like i said in the headline this Pokeball controller is awesome, denfently a musthave for anybody playing Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee

I ordered this for my fiancé because he played with mine that I got at launch and liked it. However, when he connected it up and went to get the Mew from the ball it wasn't there!! I am not happy at all because that is half the reason of getting the Pokeball in the first place!
